I'm down with a collection like this for each Bond and just do a collection with Lazenby and Dalton together.
But I bet they are going to price this fucker sky high. Wonder how "limited" it will be?

), looks suspiciously like AI produced some or all of the work, and in many cases barely rises above clip art! And to think that the Connery Bonds had multiple treatments for each film of some of the most iconic movie poster and marketing artwork in cinema history that has never graced the front of physical media releases of those films. Sigh.

At this point I don't understand the aversion to using the poster artwork other than that someone in the art department needs to justify their jobs. I think that the only time that the original poster art for the Bond films (in the US) was the 1992 VHS reissues, but I could be wrong on that. I know none of the DVD/Blu-ray releases used them.

They could easily repurpose the main poster art (not to mention many international designs in the same ‘painted’ style) for all of the Connery and Moore films, plus Lazenby. From Dalton onward the photoshop-style stuff began, and you can literally see the fun being drained from the design work until you get to the last one which is literally a guy and part of a logo.

Or maybe they could commission someone like this guy, who could remake the Dalton-onward posters in a style somewhat closer to the earlier ones.

I have the Daniel Craig 4K collection. However, it doesn't have No Time to Die as it was released after the collection came out. I had to buy NTTD separately.
As for the Connery collection, it would heavily depend on price I already have all the Bond movies on BD from that big set that FOX put out years ago, And honestly I have no revisited any of the older movies in a long long time.

In their defense the teaser poster for Casino Royale with Bond sitting at the poker table with his hand on the gun was really cool (and used for the Collectors Edition blu-ray and DVD rereleases). The Quantum of Solace teaser with Bond standing with the gun wasn't bad but all the posters from the other 3 Craig movies were lazy.

Never understood why they don't just put On Her Majesties Secret Service in with Connery films since Diamonds Are Forever is basically a sequel to it.

That usually means no image of Sean Connery.
Like for Dr. No, they will have 3 blind mice, From RUSSIA WITH LOVE an attaché case on the cover.

I know some here don't care for steelbooks but they can be damn good looking when the original movie poster art is used. Shiny!

Dammit Brian T. I wish you hadn't posted that etsy link. You are about to cost me some money.
I love a lot of his designs and will probably have to pull the trigger on a few things.
I especially like this. I just wish it was in reverse with Sean Connery facing. Other than Lazenby, I prefer all the others to Craig. I am gonna message him and see if he will consider doing that version. Etsy has a ton of cool shit on there. That is why I stay away from it.

Dude’s got some skills. I’m surprised some of the boutiques haven’t given him work, especially considering the far less talented folks who are designing slips and sleeves these days (coughVScough).

The posters for LICENSE TO KILL, on the other hand, were pretty weak all over the world. The main American one (in the collage posted earlier) always pissed me off as a designer because it looked like someone suddenly realized at the eleventh hour that the artist had left off the Bond girls so they said “Here, slap this publicity still in the middle of the poster and we’ll call it a day.”
On a related note, Sean Longmore, who’s done a number of cool paintings for (mostly) UK boutique Blu-ray editions, including some great Hong Kong stuff, did a series of 007 posters in the Japanese style. Too bad they couldn’t license these from him with English text for this market (and get him to do any others as needed). You can see a bunch throughout this article
https://www.commander007.net/2020/00...-bond-artwork/
And here’s a few as well:

re: Sean Connery 007 4K Collection
I thought about this overnight and this is the same pattern of releasing they do for all the Bond films since VHS. Release specific actor driven sets and then release the whole shebang. I think I am just going to wait on a set that includes them all. I have the Daniel Craig set for completion purposes, but I have only revisited them each once in 4K. I may just hock those and wait. I have all the others in the big BD set and have only revisited them once or twice max.
