Fun City Editions Blu-ray releases
I was about to post in the Vinegar Syndrome thread when I realized this label is on their own now (or at least not with OCN, anyway). I'm not sure how well their stuff sells compared to the previous arrangement, and I doubt we'll ever see them do decent sales, but they do have some interesting stuff slated for the months ahead, so I figured it might be worth having a dedicated thread.
https://www.funcityeditions.com/shop BAD COMPANY (1972) comes out in August:
Canada's own aerobics-fest HEAVENLY BODIES (1984) follows in October:
And the Phoebe Cates skin-fest PARADISE (1982) another Canadian production, also comes out in October (trailer below is NSFW): Contains several minutes of never-before-seen footage, as well as the chart-topping theme song sung by Phoebe Cates.

Re: Fun City Editions Blu-ray releases
This was announced back in September and I guess it’s available now. It’s a trailer comp (plus other stuff) with a New York City bent: WELCOME TO FUN CITY. I like their editions but can’t do their pricing unless they grow enough to have better sales (some standards editions are discounted to $22 right now, but still a bit steep for me). For those interested in trailer comps, though, this might be cool.

Each trailer and TV spot is accompanied by a unique, optional audio commentary track from a varied roster of esteemed film journalists, programmers, academics, historians, podcasters, industry professionals and filmmakers. I'll snag that. We need more John Sayles on physical media period.

Baby It's You already had a release from Olive, but I assume this will have a better a transfer. |

I watched Joyride the other day and found it pretty entertaining. It’s one of those it only could have been released in the 70s film. But I did like it enough to where I’d consider buying it when it goes on sale/discount.

I got this one for a decent price in Unobstructed View’s post-Christmas sale, mainly to watch the film again but with bonus features. The old MGM DVD was barebones (and non-anamorphic, I think), but I did unload it ages ago for a nice sum. I was planning to wait until VS put out a standard edition, but some of these Cinématographe titles seem to be such slow sellers (and odd choices for such fancy over-packaging) that that might not necessarily happen.
Oops I totally blanked out that Joyride was a Cinematographie release and not a FCE release. I did see one film that was featured on Fatal Femmes release. I saw the film starring Isabelle Huppert (The Bitch). It was a solid film, I’m partial towards Huppert and am a fan of hers. |

Agreed. Last year was nice with Lonestar and City of Hope getting releases.
