I haven't seen any advertisements for this on disc yet. I hope that they're not skipping out like with what happened with Greyhound. This is my most anticipated release in a few years.

It seems only Netflix, Paramount+, and Amazon Studios occasionally release (or license their productions for release) on physical media. :(

-confused- Advertising for a disc release? You’re kind of jumping the gun. It hasn’t even been released in theaters yet. It has a full theatrical release on November 21.

It depends on if Sony made any type of deal with Apple for physical media. If not, then Apple will have to license it. Either way... if it ever does... it'll be a while.

Maybe related or not but Greyhound is or was a Apple + exclusive and never got a disc release.

It looks like somebody made that DVD and fooling people into thinking it is a real DVD.

I've seen a lot of advertisements for movies coming out in theaters before release dates.

That wasn't your original question. You asked why haven't they advertised Napoleon on Blu-Ray yet? And I said because it hasn't come out in theaters yet. Of course they have already advertised the movie for theaters.

And as others have said, Apple ultimately controls the rights. If it gets a disc release, it won't be a long time.

I wonder if Netflix might have a share of the streaming rights since it is a Columbia produced film?

Apple owns the movie and streaming rights. Sony is just distributing it for theaters,

Just read on Blu-ray.com that a 4k / Blu-ray will be announced after the end of the year. Ok. Finally some good news.

I just saw that. Jan 9th VOD. No DVD/ Blu-ray? I guess. At least for now? Well, I saw it in the theatre first week released. If there is no DVD / Bluray then there's nothing that I can do about it. I would of bought the bluray. But if it's not there, then, it'll go the same route as Greyhound. Where I wanted to buy it but...they won't let me. So I'll just have to go with what I have and what else I can get.
