Oh man... as a kid, I always loved 01 more than Kikaider (and Kamen Rider V3 and Riderman more than Rider 1). I'm just so conditioned to "wait for the sale"

Toei did a poll a couple months back about which series to remaster, and 01 was one of the shows listed. A month later, they'd already dated the winner, Kaiketsu Zubat, for a Blu-ray release near the end of the year. That seems like a really fast turnaround, so my guess is that the poll wasn't really about what to remaster but what to release first. But even if 01 has a remaster ready to go, it's all academic if Toei doesn't make it available to Discotek. |
