I like them since if you have a lot of blu-rays they provide extra protection if you stack them

Most blu-rays have the flimsy cases which bend or get crushed easily

I've grown to prefer slipcases over slipcovers. They tend not to fall apart and become dog-eared so easily.

This is my view as well. I used to freak out if there was one I was missing, and would re-buy the movie or just the slipcover on the secondary market. These days, I couldn't care less.

Yeah, I don't get it. The only thing that I like about them is that they help "square" the stupid rounded edges on standard cases. Seriously, why are cases made like that?

If you get a blu-ray with a slipcover you feel like it is part of new stock or a new release since after a couple of years they don't come with the slipcovers and probably sitting on a shelf or somewhere for a long period of time

Probably helps with the cases not cracking if they are rounded?
