I like them since if you have a lot of blu-rays they provide extra protection if you stack them
Most blu-rays have the flimsy cases which bend or get crushed easily |

I've grown to prefer slipcases over slipcovers. They tend not to fall apart and become dog-eared so easily.

I used to care about slips and packaging a lot more about 10 years ago. I think at some point I got sick of the chase for them. Steelbooks too....I think I might have continued giving a shit about them if the slip was different than the cover art.

Yeah, I don't get it. The only thing that I like about them is that they help "square" the stupid rounded edges on standard cases. Seriously, why are cases made like that?

If you get a blu-ray with a slipcover you feel like it is part of new stock or a new release since after a couple of years they don't come with the slipcovers and probably sitting on a shelf or somewhere for a long period of time
