Hello everyone. I would like to know if anyone else noticed that the opening act of episode 1 season 4 seems to be missing. The narration by J'kar recapping the events from season 3s ending is not there,The episode starts with the credits. If they release this on disc I hope someone points this out to the producers before they manufacture them. I hope it's released on blu ray but if there is missing content it may no be worth the price.Originally Posted by kenbuzz
BTW - HBO Max included the TNT version of The Gathering in the Series 1 episode listing. That specific movie was NOT remastered, it's the same version they've always had and is identical to what's on the DVD set. If you start with that (which, story-wise you should) you'll be disappointed because the PQ shows absolutely no improvement over the home video releases. It all kicks in with Midnight On The Firing Line (1x01) - Ragesh III gets their butts kicked in stunning 4:3 digital goodness.

I've read that WB has been made aware of the two episodes with missing footage (thankfully, it's only 2 out of 110). I am 100% sure that they will fix that.
I've just got my fingers crossed for a Blu Ray release as I'm not a fan of streaming, and I don't really want to buy digital. I want a physical copy.
(Wait, that's in my signature?? Oh, well, then that's redundant...

Interesting ad placement right after you mentioned your signature.

That's great news. I didn't know there was another episode missing content. I just hope this is released on blu ray. Thanks for the info.Originally Posted by B5Erik

Just checked HBO Max and both B Squared and Hour of the Wolf are fixed!

May have celebrated too early. The B5 title card still appears about 10
minutes into B Squared and after that the AV sync is off.

I really hope they fix everything before the discs are made. I remember TNG having audio problems and Paramount having to replace them.

But I still suspect a Fall release will happen (after the HBO Max thinig has pretty much run it's course). We'll see.

Entering the UPC into Amazon also gives a hit.

It's no longer on Max, but it's free on the Roku channel and Tubi. And it's the remastered version.

I’ve started the first season a couple times on DVD but bought the digital SD thinking it might be more convenient. Of course I haven’t watched it but just bought the digital HD version to have a better experience when I finally get around to it.

Finally. I'm pre-ordering this as soon as it goes live. I've been waiting a LONG time for this...

Bleh, I waited a day too long. Amazon just jacked the pre-order price from $135 to $153. I had meant to put an order in to lock-down the lower price, but didn't figure it would go UP during the first week of ordering.
Ended up placing an order at DeepDiscount for $100. Came to $112 with tax + $5 special handling (I'm guessing the box will be huge). So I've locked in THAT lower price and will monitor Amazon, CD Universe, DVD Empire, Best Buy and the other usual suspects to see if a lower price can be had.
Frankly, I had expected the release price to be right around $99, so I'm okay just leaving the DDD preorder as-is unless something remarkable happens in the next 4-1/2 months.

Is this going to be a limited edition release? The "only available from online retailers" seems kind of strange.
If it is a limited run, I kind of want to avoid it considering Warners' track record with rotting boxed sets. I don't want to buy this and then, a year later, discover that the discs won't load and I can't replace it without paying aftermarket prices on eBay.
