Any ideas on what the mystery titles are?

There doesn't seem to be the sort of consensus that past clues have generated. (Heck, or even certainty about which country/region one of the hints is referring to!) A bunch of people are expecting The Invisible Maniac to be coming either next month or November, though.

Well damn. Looks like New York Ninja will be BD only. From today's newsletter:
Our first VSP release NEW YORK NINJA is starting to play at cinemas across the United States (soon, the world!). And soon, you too will be able immerse yourself in the wonders of this long forgotten slice of no-budget 80s action via our upcoming VSU styled 2-disc Blu-ray set, which is slated to go up for order (and ship!) on November 1, exclusively at www.VinegarSymdrome.com.
I'll still be getting this, but that's kind of surprising, as I figured they'd go 4K with their own VSP line.

Censor is now a Blu-ray only release.

We regret to inform you that due to various logistical and technical issues outside of our control, we will be unable to release CENSOR on the 4K UHD format. CENSOR will be offered in a deluxe Blu-ray only edition with the same Black Friday release date.

I pre-ordered the UHD, so that email was certainly a disappointment.

That's fine... Just a little odd that wasn't something they had looked into in advance of announcing the release. I'll keep my order, though.

I’m planning on it, but I figured I’d wait until I order my big stack of stuff in a couple of weeks.

I thought about waiting for the Black Friday sale but I wanted to get it sooner and it won’t be included with the sale so why not just order it now.

If you don't have a subscription, I'd say to save on shipping.

Yeah, you can only combine shipping during sales if you're not a subscriber. Subscribers can combine whenever they want. So I'm going to add Ticks and NY Ninja to my existing order when the sale starts, then binge watch all my new VinSyn titles in December.

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread

I picked up the Tiger Claws trilogy. Not a terrible price for three films.

I never really follow these guys because this stuff isn’t really my cup of tea. Especially at these prices. I didn’t know they put out a Martial Law set last year. Completely gone now. Oh well.

There are four (!) presentations of the film: true 3D (yes, to answer your question), anaglyph 3D (glasses included), flat 1080p, and 4K/HDR. All four are a part of the 3-disc set linked below.

Does anyone here own the Scanner Cop 4K set?

The films look like a lot of fun and I've been mulling over picking them up before the Black Friday sale ends.

Yeah, I have it. These two films look better than they have any right to look but yeah, they're a fun watch for what they are. I watched them along with the first Scanners flick.

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread

I already spent $190 on this sale. I’m trying to keep my purchases to titles that dip below 1,000 unless it’s a title I’ve really been waiting for. Just saw Scanner Cop fell into the 900’s but I’m gonna roll the dice and hope it’s still around in six months.

Coincidentally, I was at nearly the exact same dollar amount but wound up pulling the trigger on the Scanner Cop double feature anyway. I was hoping to keep it under $200, but oh well.

I also bought Ticks, Trauma, New York Ninja, The Last Matinee, and Censor. It’s funny how I agonize over the price of so many other movies/box sets, but $38 for Ticks? Sure.

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread

Vinegar Syndrome's site opens back up in 12 minutes!

We've been receiving a ton of emails related to the OOP VSA & AMITYVILLE (box) releases that are going to be available tonight at 12:01 AM EST. Here's some additional info:

1. Each release is limit 1 per customer.
2. Some VSAs will have multiple edition types available:
- Unnumbered 'Dashed' Edition = Blu-ray with an unnumbered slipcase
- Standard Edition = Blu-ray only (no slipcase)
- Hand Numbered Edition = Blu-ray with numbered slipcase (the regular version)
3. The "Add to my existing order" shipping option will not be active. If you want any of these low stock OOPs, place that order first, then be sure to check out all the brand new Partner Label and Vinegar Syndrome pre-orders.
4. Adding a product to your cart does not reserve the item, you must fully finish the checkout process.
5. The best way to find all of these will be in our 'Limited Editions (still in stock)' link located in the 'Releases' menu tab.
6. All VSAs will be $29.99 (with slipcase) or $24.99 for the standard edition. AMITYVILLE (box) = $59.99.

Here's a final tally of what we will have in stock tonight:

AMITYVILLE: THE CURSED COLLECTION (box) = 120
SAVAGE HARBOR: dashed=90, standard=38, hand numbered=0
EVIL TOWN: dashed=0, standard=40, hand numbered=0
DR. JEKYLL'S DUNGEON OF DEATH: dashed=138, standard=0, hand numbered=0
HELL RIDERS: dashed=130, standard=0, hand numbered=0
L.A. WARS: dashed=102, standard=0, hand numbered=0
SAVAGE DAWN: dashed=130, standard=50, hand numbered=0
MARTIAL LAW 1&2: dashed=160, standard=58, hand numbered=0
SPELLCASTER: dashed=81, standard=0, hand numbered=0
NECROMANCER: dashed=185, standard=5, hand numbered=0
ACTION USA: dashed=87, standard=0, hand numbered=0
THE HOUSE OF USHER: dashed=180, standard=13, hand numbered=50
CHAMPAGNE & BULLETS: dashed=0, standard=0, hand numbered=77

Thank you and Happy New Year!

re: The Official Vinegar Syndrome Thread

As predicted all of the popular titles in that batch posted above sold out within minutes.

Out of those titles, (as I type this) only Necromancer, The House of Usher and Dr. Jekyll's Dungeon of Death are still available in some form.

I managed to get my order of Champagne & Bullets and L.A. Wars in though!
