Re: UHD release announcements

Artwork could be better, but it could have also been a lot worse. I'll be buying this.

I'll get the trilogy, not sure about the steelbook. That artwork sucks.

Re: UHD release announcements

That panorama artwork is really cool, but these just aren't top tier movies for me (good, but not argue with the wife over buying 4k steelbooks good).

Re: UHD release announcements

I definitely want the films, but that artwork is crappy. The films have classic posters that should continue to be used when they see new releases. Hopefully the box set has individual cases inside with better artwork.

Re: UHD release announcements

Looks like there is a listing for one without the Hover Board. The artwork/packaging on the standard release looks nicer overall to me. I’ll probably go with the standard 4K release.

I’ll be grabbing the standard 4K set at some point. I own these films on VHS, DVD, and Blu-ray so far and will add this to the collection.

If you don't have a 4K TV, there's really no point for you to buy this. Unless you really think you will be upgrading soon.

I have a 4K tv just not a player yet. I won’t rush to get it, but I will at some point. If nothing else I can at least use the digital copies, but I hope to get a player soon. Whether that’s a stand-alone player or possibly a PS5 remains to be determined. I’m not going crazy with 4K. Just picking up my favorite films and newer titles if they’re reasonably priced/on sale.

I have the 30th anniversary steelbook from 5 years ago that I bought at Target. But, I'll probably get this as it's a 4K upgrade and there's some new content as well.

Looking at all those discs reminds me of their BD/DVD packaging that always made me feel like I was going to break a disc while trying to take them out.

The steelbooks reminds me of what I have hanging in my basement.

Not on Amazon, but on the official site that was linked it looks like there’s one without it.

Edit: also didn’t even notice right away, but WTK quoted me and linked it from Amazon.

The standard release cover is probably in the larger hoverboard slip cover. I think you'll get it regardless.

As for original artwork, unless it's a Shout! Factory release with a reversible cover, you're never going to see those - the "logic" at the studios is unless there's a new cover, consumers won't realize it's a new release (despite the 4K labeling). Yes, they think we're that stupid.

I linked Best Buy https://www.bestbuy.com/site/back-to...?skuId=6422288 ($54.99). It's not on Amazon yet. UPC is 191329144657, so that's the best way to search for it.

It's also up at retailers like https://www.deepdiscount.com/back-to...y/191329144657 ($42.99) and https://www.target.com/p/back-to-the...d/-/A-80885950 ($50.33).
