Planning on diving into the Rebane tomorrow. The Grefe is good, but nowhere near the level of Al Adamson.

What, no Milligan? Hang your head in shame! 😏

I don’t have the Milligan set either, just wanted to razz you about your almost complete schlock collection!

I’ve thought about it since it came out, but I just can’t pull the trigger.

The Milligan set didn't sell out quick like the Adamson set either, so there's some hope for Severin's stock to last until a sale (either the upcoming one, or the one after that). Of course, even at a sale price, it's hard to justify suffering through Milligan's mostly garbage films, let alone the seemingly needless scholarship that surrounds them in that set. Compare to him, Grefe, Rebane and Adamson were masters of cinema!

I’m so stoked about this! I’ll definitely be buying this, whatever it is. I’m hoping for a set.

There’s a high probability that it will be a Martial Arts/Wuxia film but I will love to see a film like The Love Eterne being released eventually.

Okay, it seems like is going to be 36th Chambers. It’s been a long while since I have been excited for a physical release announcement. Well, I forgot about Drunken Master 2 but anyways, I’m excited.

What a killer month. Although I am surprised that Legend isn't getting the UHD treatment...

Damn, what a month. Better start selling my blood.

James Flower tweeted why Legend didn't get the UHD treatment. Spoilered since it's very, very long:

^ seems clear enough, but I wonder what title he was referring to where he said it was AI upscaled with fake grain and fake HDR. Hmmmmmm....

Me too! Maybe Turbine? I haven't picked up any of their releases, so I don't know anything firsthand.

The Cold War Creatures set looks like my kind of schlock, but not at $60.

As for Legend - I'm not even a huge fan of this movie, I got the fancy DVD set way back when based on the online forum hype, and I think I watched one of the discs once and never got back to it again.

But reading about how the rights are spread out and just one party wouldn't play ball to make this set even better makes me angry on behalf of all the fans of the movie. International copyright law needs to be dragged into an alley and beaten into a form that ensures actual rights holders get paid, but they can't hold stuff hostage.

The feature length documentary on the making of Dune has been cancelled for its disc release due to production issues.

And someone from Ballyhoo posted just below that they just needed more time.

I already didn't pre-order due to lack of extended cut, but taking off another major feature like that makes we want to pre-order just so I can cancel it.

I'm assuming the price is the same, regardless of the lost documentary.

They should just delay it and give the production company time to finish the film. Why rush out a half ass product?

I don't mind waiting if that's the problem, -it certainly makes me second-guess the value of the product. But like a lot of people, I wonder if there's not something else going on.

I'm assuming their deal with Universal doesn't allow them to change the agreed upon release date.

I wonder if they could finish it at a later time and offer it on a separate disc to people who purchase when it’s ready. Probably would be a lot of extra work though.

I’m considering canceling preorder. Really wanted that extra. Everything else seems superfluous.

I'm thinking about it myself. I was never a huge fan of the movie itself, but it seemed like it would make a great package.
