MVD Rewind is reviving CHEERLEADERS WILD WEEKEND in December. It’s a pretty decent crime thriller (with copious T&A) that barely resembles any of the breezy materials used to market it, then and now!
Code Red released it previously on a Blu-ray that fetches a pretty penny these days, with the same bonus features except for the Kristine DeBell commentary from an earlier DVD.

TAKE THEM AWAY FOR A WEEKEND... THEN TRY TO LET THEM GO!
Mix a busload of voluptuous cheerleaders with an embittered ex-football star, turned kidnapper, add plenty of action and passion, and you get a CHEERLEADERS' WILD WEEKEND.
A group of comely and curvaceous cheerleaders are kidnapped by a vengeful jock (Jason Williams, Flesh Gordon) and held for ransom in an isolated hideout. Plotting an escape, these shapely victims let by Debbie Williams (Kristine DeBell, Alice in Wonderland), use their hidden charms to entice their captors. But eventually kidnappers and victims are drawn ultimately together in exhilarating excitement while plotting to steal the ransom money and foil the cops.
It's an adventure like no other... and it could only happen on a CHEERLEADERS' WILD WEEKEND!

Googling Synapse shows a note that they’ll “return Friday at noon EST” so presumably they’ll be back online shortly.

Not sure when they came back online as I was out for a while, but the site’s working fine now (about 3 hours after Dex posted the notice above) with all three still available, plus a ‘buy all three’ option that doesn’t offer a discount for doing so, unfortunately (otherwise I might be tempted due to theoretical resale value up here).

My bad. I’m so used to you two guys posting most of this kind of stuff I just randomly went with one instead of scrolling back up!
I’ll also point out that out of curiosity I tested the 3-set offering in my cart (ships for $7.00) versus 3 copies of one of the individual sets (ships for $12.00), so I suppose there is some minor savings in buying all three designs, but it’s a bit dodgy considering the weight of any three sets should be the same in terms of shipping.

Looks like the three-set option sold out at some point (gotta admit I bit, for reasons specified above) but the others still seem to be available, although they’re OOS at Orbit and Diabolik.

Just noticed MVD Visual has this up for pre-order at various places. As Bikini movies go, the first one is a minor classic that lives up to its title with virtually non-stop bikinis (and less) plus plenty of cars and lots of, umm, washing.
The second one’s ok in those same regards, but lacks some of the magic. The first one was written and produced by Buck Flower, perhaps not surprisingly. The cinematographer on the first one debuted as a director on the second one, then did one more Bikini movie (THE GREAT OFF-ROAD BIKINI ADVENTURE) before doing a whole bunch of Playboy-style ‘erotic’ videos and then porn. I still smile when I remember reviewing both of these in my local daily newspaper when they came out on video. I don’t think the editors payed much attention to half the DTV junk I was writing about.
While these aren’t great films, they were 90’s video store and Up All Night / Skinemax staples, and their DVD treatments were barely above public domain, so it is cool to see them revived in a decent presentation. Cult director Jim Wynorski is on the commentary for Part 1 presumably because of his role in the film as I don’t recall him serving any other function (unfortunately he’s with YouTuber Heath Holland, so it could be a chore). Wynorski did, however, go on to make a shit ton of Bikini or Bikini-adjacent movies right up to today.
All that said, I would never pay full price for this, especially after seeing talk at the ‘other’ site that these were upscaled (with some amount of AI) from SD masters, and using the Rated version for part 1. It does look like they sourced uncut versions of both films as bonus features, and apparently didn’t fuck with them, so that’s some consolation, I guess.

Possibly not safe for work, unless you work at a bikini car wash.
(second clip is a montage from the first film):

Just a heads up they Diabolik has all three deluxe versions of TRICK OR TREAT back up for sale (same price as before at $70). These sold out pretty quickly the first time, so I don’t know if that was a case of ‘manufacturing FOMO’ or some such, or if there are limited quantities left on these. The standard edition is also coming out soon.

A June release from MVD Visual. I’ve stumbled across the IMDb listing nearly every time I’ve looked up something with one of the stars. I haven’t actually seen it and assumed there wasn't been much demand for it, but MVD certainly added some seemingly decent supplements. The short version is on Tubi and YouTube for test driving, which seems advisable.

For the first time ever, TERMINUS arrives June 10, 2025, in a Special Edition Blu-ray and Standard Edition DVD from the MVD Rewind Collection!
In the year 2037, the future is in the hands of a genetically engineered boy: Mati (Gabriel Damon, RoboCop 2) a child-genius with a brain programmed by a brilliant and evil doctor (Jürgen Prochnow, Beverly Hills Cop II... in three deliciously crazy roles). Mati is the master of a sadistic cross-country rally (with a 100 million dollar prize that no one has ever won), controlling "Monster", a gigantic A.I. operated storm truck that rumbles across the continent, while being pursued by a squad of rebels determined to stop "Monster" before it reaches the "End of the Line".
Karen Allen (Raiders of the Lost Ark), Julie Glenn (Betty Fisher) and the legendary Johnny Hallyday (the French rock-n-roll singer famously known as the "French Elvis") are all along for the ride in this fast-paced, action-packed "Mad Max" inspired futuristic adventure!
SPECIAL FEATURES:
• US version of the “Terminus” (83 mins) presented in 1080p HD in 1.78:1 aspect ratio with English LPCM 2.0 Stereo Audio and optional English Subtitles
• Extended French version of “Terminus” (115 mins) presented in 1080p HD in 2.35:1 aspect ratio with 2.0 Stereo Audio (in French with Optional English Subtitles)
• NEW! Interview with star Jürgen Prochnow (HD, 15:55)
• NEW! “We All Descend – The Making of Terminus ” (Including interviews with Vincent Glenn (son of writer/director Pierre-William Glenn), star Julie Glenn (daughter of Pierre-William Glenn) and archival interviews with director Pierre-William Glenn (HD, 49:30) (In French with English Subtitles)
• Photo Gallery
• Reversible Artwork
• Collectible Mini-Poster
• Original Theatrical Trailer
• Limited Edition Slipcover (First Pressing Only)

Nice. For my money, PROM NIGHT 2 is the best of that so-so series. Presumably Red Shirt’s TRICK OR TREAT deluxe edition generated some decent revenue to help fund these. Parts III and IV were pretty average, though, and ideally should be bonus feature on a Part II set or double-featured. But then I guess there are potentially higher returns in keeping everything separate. Always wanted to see ÁNGEL FROM H.E.A.T., but probably not at this price range.

So I streamed Terminus...I can't say it was any good but some cool stunts. I am curious about that longer cut since the movie basically made no damn sense in the shorter version I streamed.
I doubt I would buy it but if it turns up on Vudu or some other place to see. I would be tempted to see how they compare.

Fyi, Bikini Car Wash is down to $13.99 (44% off MSRP) on Amazon. Honestly, at this price even if I just watch each film just once from start to finish it is worth picking up at this price point.
I just ordered it before I was about to publish this comment.
Hmm...seems both films were upsclaled using AI from basically videotape masters and a couple reviewers (one on Amazon and one on the site that shall not be named) state some (most) of the the films are unwatchable due to poor PQ. Well, that might explain the instant drop in price on this release. Usually MVD films are very watchable on Blu (their release of Split Second looks great on blu). I could cancel but I think the worst case scenario is I wasted about $15. Heck, I have spent more than that on a McDonald's meal that was just okay so not the end of the world if the release really does turn out to be unwatchable.
If the PQ is just barely above the quality of the PQ in the trailer links that Brian T put up in this thread, I will be able to tough it out and watch the films. At least each film is supposed to be uncut/uncensored.

^ Yeah, I think with these films a pretty big exception has to be made, but only at a discount if possible. That price seems reasonable. I’m sure eventually it will turn up in a MVD sale for ten bucks or less, but $15 is probably the limit. Even if these were pristine transfers from original camera negatives (which apparently no longer exist), I’d still wait for a discount, which is inevitable with MVD anyway.
This review has a lot of screencaps (scroll way down) from the AI-upscaled and SD versions of both films. None of them look great, but I suppose they get the job done, especially in light of MVD being pretty honest about what they did here, and the distinct unlikelihood of any other boutique bothering with such niche titles like these down the road.
https://www.thebigmoviehouse.com/202...-1993.html?m=1
And as I’ve mentioned previously, the amount of skin on display, especially in the first film, is still essentially intact even if the AI tomfoolery has scrubbed away some of the, ahem, details.
I suppose the alternative here would’ve been a company like Saturn’s Core or Terrorvision releasing them with more respectable transfers that retained as much detail as possible, but with either of those labels we’d have been charged upwards of $30 to $40 for the double-feature, and these films are absolutely not worth that kind of money.

LAUGH OR GET OFF THE POT.
It's the year '1985' and the proprietors of new television channel called 'TunnelVision', which is notably free of censorship) are under a government investigation led by a Senator who wishes to shut down the network due to its widespread negative effects on the population. During the hearing, the committee examines a typical day or programming which includes shows, programs, commercials, news, and much more, and what they discover will surely crack you up in this outrageous and irreverent spoof of 1970's movies and television in the tradition of Kentucky Fried Movie and Amazon Women on the Moon!
Directors Neal Israel (Bachelor Party) and Brad Swirnoff (Prime Time) along with producer Joe Roth (Anyone But You) and an all-star cast featuring appearances by Chevy Chase (National Lampoon's Vacation), John Candy (Uncle Buck), Al Franken (Stuart Saves His Family), Laraine Newman (Coneheads), Howard Hesseman (This is Spinal Tap), Ron Silver (Timecop) and Lynne Marie Stewart ('It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia') present a satirical look at the small screen, delivering a relentless barrage of parodies, spoofs, and social commentary.
