I'm guessing we're going to see more of these long-available 80's teen sex comedies getting the SE treatment? Never thought there'd be much demand, but clearly there is.

The DVD was fullscreen, wasn't it? That is the reason I don't own it.

I loved this movie back in the day and always wanted to have it.

TBD at this point. Could be that...could be Mill Creek... could be Shout, though that seems unlikely as they announce well in advance, but who knows. Hopefully, some actual announcement happens soon.

and Joyce Hyser turns 63 this year.

I saw this recently when Vudu had a free ad supported stream, Prior to that I had never seen it from start to finish. It's a very entertaining movie for it's time.

Yep. That kept me from buying it for years but I finally folded and bought it because I truly never expected a BD release of this. This was a staple of HBO in the afternoon when I was a pre-teen. Really excited to see this release.

I’m pretty sure I saw this in theaters. Love the movie. Have Vudu hdx. Will gladly get for blu and extras. Joyce and Zabka in all his douchey glory!

I haven't seen everything he has been in but I remember watching The Equalizer on TV as a teen and he played the main character's son and was a good guy in that around the same time. I was kinda bewildered by it at the time. He was just as douchey in as the boyfriend in a small part in European Vacation.

You could say he is likeable now. I find his character of Johnny much more likeable than Daniel on the current Cobra Kai show.

Sony Pictures Home Entertainment will celebrate the 35th anniversary of Lisa Gottlieb's film Just One of the Guys (1985) with a brand new Blu-ray release, which will be available for purchase on April 28th.

Synopsis: Terri (Joyce Hyser, TV's "L.A. Law") blames sexism when her journalism teacher refuses to enter her article in a competition to win a summer internship at the local newspaper. With the help of her kid brother, Buddy (Billy Jacoby), she masquerades as a guy at a rival school and enters the contest there. During her charade, "Terry the Boy" tangles with a vicious bully, Greg (William Zabka, The Karate Kid), and fends off an amorous classmate, Sandy (Sherilyn Fenn, TV's "Twin Peaks"). But when she falls for a handsome loner, Rick (Clayton Rohner, TV's "Murder One"), our hero/heroine must find a way to convince him that she's not JUST ONE OF THE GUYS.

i always loved this movie and have HD on Vudu and not sure commentary is worth it for me since i don't ever listen to them, but they did get key members, where was Zabka?, so who knows. just too bad no featurettes or something. but, why no preorder up on Amazon or anywhere else i use is a mystery...

Amazon isn’t even selling anymore. Got my order in, but not even estimated delivery date. Too bad, but I’m sure just what’s going on and I’ll get when I get.

Maybe they got away with a PG-13 when it should have been rated "R"

I think somebody in their bedroom (in the movie) had a bunch of playboy centerfolds or photos of nude girls on the wall?
