Sheena (1984) --> 02.19.19 --> Retro VHS packaging (Blu-ray)
i have to admit this was a guilty pleasure of mine bc Roberts was hot as hell. not like Beastmaster where she showed some of what makes her an 80's unsung icon. don't think she did any nudity in Sheena. **edit** she does show some nudity, sounds like more in fact and i always thought this was one of the first PG-13 movies, probably should have been from what i read. And all i remember of Ted Wass is he was from the tv show Blossom which i never watched.
saw bits and pieces on cable and it is a terrible movie, but one day i vow to watch all the way through again...
@ Amazon $14.98

Yeah as I was reading, I was thinking hold up, Sheena def had nudity. This and Beastmaster I watched a lot as a kid.

There’s quite a bit of nudity from Roberts in Sheena.
Good amount of tits, and you might even get a bit of bush in HD.

Just to be clear, -Is that the actual box cover, with the half-out cassette as part of the art, or is it similar to the "Stranger Things" packaging, with the case holding the discs looking like a VHS cassette?

It's a standard size slipcover with the cassette as part of the art.
Universal has started to release some titles in packaging similar to the old VHS clamshells at Walmart.

Would much rather just have a far better release of Beastmaster. Plenty top form Tanya in that one. Cant believe one of the new specialty labels hasn't put an updated version out there.

That's the one thing that really sticks out about 80's movies is the damn big hair. I love that era of movies, but when I watch a gritty movie like The Terminator, and then see Linda Hamilton and her roommate with that Aquanet big hair, it really takes me out of the movie sometimes.

Everyone was so used to his 1970s layered quaffed hair that it was quite a shock to see him with a funny-looking buzz-cut. Unless you were in the military, most men had longish hair during that era. Even bald guys grew-out the sides like Bozo.
When you watch Blade Runner today, he looks suitably contemporary-looking.

I say that this title is still as of this moment unreleased because I just hit a ton of sites and they all say sold out on-line. I wish the new release date would be revealed soon. It was supposed to be available today.
Good news...out March 26.

Nope, not edited (or at least the movie has always been PG, we haven't seen what the disc looks like yet). Ironically this movie came out about a month after PG-13 was created so there is no real reason for it to be PG. Maybe it got it's rating before PG-13 went live.

Now that I think about it, wasn't the old Swamp Thing film rated PG even though it contained nudity? Or maybe that was an uncut version I'm thinking of?

Many of these retro releases end up being Walmart exclusives for a month - March 26th may very well be the wide release date.

You just have to know which Walmart in your area gets the most focus. That particular line only showed up at scattered Walmarts where the target customers are dual-income families aged 30 to 50, and shelf space is widely available. The closest Walmart to my house that gets just about every media display and promotion is miles away. If I only visited the Walmarts closest to me, I would never come across their special media deals.
