No new extras and I suspect y’all are right about the PQ not being a major upgrade from the Blu Ray. It may be my all time favorite film but I will continue to be content when I look at the Nakatomi Plaza set and continue to have a low level of hope that Die Hard gets the respect it is due sometime in the hopefully not too far out future.

Fingers crossed that my whining in this post makes me look like a putz when good reviews eventually hit the web.

I popped in my copy and from what i sampled, it looks pretty damn good. His review also mentions it was a 4k scan from the negative

Caps are up on Cap-a-holic. It is definitely an improvement over the Bd- though I would suspect that if a new Bd would made from the same master and given a little TLC, it would/could look very similar given the film based origin.

It sounds like I get to own up to being a bit silly being a nervous Nellie regarding this release and it is worth the upgrade. The only dilemma is to wait for it to hit $10 (maybe right around my birthday in September) or spring for it now that it is $19.99 (which is still a good price for a UHD film).
