so is this more expensive version on Amazon the only one with all the extras?...https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Quest-...=B002MU4NL8&m=

there is this one that says special edition bluray for much less. does this have all the extras as well?...https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Quest-...=UTF8&qid=&sr=

That one is a bit of a head scratcher thanks to those Amazon listings. All things considered, I think I'd go for the Region-free UK version which looks to be identical to the US version with extras. You can import the UK disc from Amazon UK for a little over $12.

Here's a comparison of the US and UK discs, with links to order for each:

You should bookmark that site (DVDCompare.net) as I could see it answering a lot of the questions that you post here.

Hope that helps!

I have it. Not sure what the difference between the two shown is. My copy was released in 2009 and has a good amount of features. It looks to me like the second one is a re-release because it shows as released in August of this year. Maybe the intitial version went out of print or something.

The version I have is from one of the 4-Film Favorites: Intergalactic Films collection with Lost in Space, Mars Attacks!, and Red Planet and the disc is from the 2009 pressing, plenty of special features.

Can't confirm, but it probably just has to do with distribution rights shifting from Paramount to Warner Bros. and then back to Paramount, and they likely just threw the exact same disc contents back and forth between 'em.

Coincidentally I just got an email about a Sci-fi sale at Deep Discount, and they have the newly released US Blu for $6.99 right now.

Also, spend $35 and use the promo code HOLIDAY and get 10% off and free shipping.

I believe everything on the disc has always been the same. I recently purchased the new release and it's got everything on it listed on the original first release on BD. And after purchasing it I realized I would have been better off finding the 4 pack mentioned by story.

I can’t believe it’s been eight years since the original release. I bought it when it first came out. Doesn’t seem like it was that long ago.

The other three are really, really bad movies.

I've never seen Lost in Space or Red Planet, but Mars Attacks is an awesome movie!

Agree about Mars Attacks! I didn't hate Lost In Space, but I agree that it wasn't great. Haven't seen Red Planet. But my point was that If I had known that I could have picked up all four what barely more than I paid for just Galaxy Quest, I would have went that route. Essentially the same disc in the 4 pack.

Mars Attacks! is great and Lost in Space is a guilty pleasure. So 3/4 would be good enough for me.
