I wasn’t as enamorate with this film as I was with other war movies, but I’ll give it another go. Those extras sound fantastic though. And it was a gorgeous looking movie...

I'm really liking that 4K artwork. Wouldn't mind if they used that for the steelbook as well.

Why would you assume it's 4k?

Because that's how the other site had it listed. And most of the time they are correct. Hence why I said it MIGHT be 4K. Just like how Best Buy didn't originally have GOTG2 listed as 3D when they put up the 4K steelbook page. On top of all of that, $32.99 would fall in line with 4K pricing more than regular blu ray pricing.

Release day, and Amazon already has "we'll e-mail you when available." And it's not even a Disney title!

I didn't pre-order so I could have it shipped to a locker, and now that it's backordered I STILL can't ship to a locker.

So bummed the Steelbook isn't 4K. That is an insane price for a Blu Ray (it dropped, but only to $29.99) I ordered it for in-store pick up but am not sure if I'll keep it or not.

I put this disc in my broken blu-ray player and it fixed it. God, Nolan is a genius.

Yeah, I'm not going to spend that kind of money on a steelbook, especially if it doesn't include the 4K version. I'm still a little stunned that the regular version is going for $25. But since it's a WB title, it will drop to $15 or less within a month.

At least you didn't quote it. That is why it's easier just to have some forum members on your ignore list. Works for me

It's amazing that Christopher Nolan gets any movies made considering I assume he must spend every waking moment screwing stvn's mom.

Everyone, go to the blu-ray.com forums where he usually continues his Nolan love act! It’s great stuff!

Re: Dunkirk - 12/19/17

per blu-ray.com Nolan insisted on a DTS lossless 5.1 track instead of a 7.1 Atmos track and also insisted the extras be on a seperate disc despite the movie being 106 minutes and with plenty of room if a lower bitrate had been applied. & he supervised the transfer as well

You must be proud of being known for this one running joke. I love Dunkirk, but have no doubt whatsoever that you think about it, and Christopher Nolan more than I do.

Re: Dunkirk - 12/19/17

Wow, this is one gorgeous UHD disc. I wasn't sure about dropping $30 for a single movie but this was worth every penny.

Re: Dunkirk - 12/19/17

Yeah, the disc is getting great reviews. This has been the first release that gave me a slight itch to upgrade to 4K (once projectors are a little more reasonable in price).

Dunkirk is destined to become a demo disc du jour for 4K systems, certainly for its visual impact and quite possibly for its audio power as well.
