Sivaji (Ayngaran) Disc - My Sony Blu-ray Player detecting Disc as "Data BD"

Hello All,

I have recently purchased a movie called Sivaji Blu-ray from Ayngaran, the first ever blu-ray released in South Indian (Tamil) language. I am trying to play the movie in my Sony Blu-ray Player but it is detecting as Data BD. Did anyone come across the same situation if yes please share me your workarounds. The movie was originally released on 2008 and It clearly says all regions in the back of blu-ray box.

Here is the video

Thanks

You mean this UK release?

It sounds like a compatibility issue. Can you try it in a different player?

my sony player has done this occasionally. I just unplug it, wait a few minutes, plug it back in and then it can recognize the disk.

Don't understand why, but it works for me.

I am from India and I have tried all other brands like Philips, Sony, LG, Samsung etc, all the BDs are detecting as "Data BD"

Did you get the very similar problem as the video I have posted above?
