Re: Vestron Video Collector's Series (Lionsgate)
Was Blue Steel ever a Vestron release in the US? I only remember it being MGM both theatrically and on VHS and eventually DVD. Google tells me it was released by Vestron International Pictures overseas, presumably on home video as well (Germany for sure, according to an image that came up). Seems a bit odd to see it in this packaging, even though it ‘technically’ qualifies.

Not the biggest fan of the film but I'll definitely pick it up for the Vestron Collection.

Since the James Cameron films haven't shown up I felt like buying something. Spotted this steelbook.

I finally found a Walmart close to me that had a number of their exclusive steelbooks and saw Shivers there. Is it any good? I might go back and buy Winnie The Pooh Blood and Honey.

- Number 37 of the Vestron Collector’s Series, this hard-edged 1996 action-thriller – starring Tom Berenger as a mercenary turned substitute – returns in its 4K debut
- Art by Vance Kelly is a study in contrasts, with a rifle barrel’s shadow, a schoolhouse chalkboard, and the substitute teacher’s blood-red profile encapsulating the film’s plot
- New Lionsgate Limited Extras include behind-the-scenes content that digs into the film’s themes, visual grit, and the mechanics behind its most brutal moments, with a new Director’s Commentary featuring director Robert Mandel (exploring the motifs and impact of The Substitute); a raw look at how the story moved from idea to execution (and why it still packs a punch); and the film’s Theatrical Trailer
