Extras sound decent, especially with the Singer/Kinberg commentary and the hour long documentary.
At least this time we won't get screwed like with DOFP since that one had a director's cut that came out months later.

No one got screwed except those that couldn't wait and just get the Rogue's Cut. They fucking announced that shit early on, too.

Singer said no extended cut for this one.
Wonder how much the UBD will be on Black Friday.
Ahh, I remember when the Last Stand came out on blu-ray not too long ago.

Good to see Fox bring DVD/Blu back as a combo pack. If only Disney/Marvel would follow.
Plus I'll gladly take a 1-hour documentary. Again, this is something Disney needs to re-capture for their special features.

Yeah I was talking about those who felt pressured to get the Theatrical cut right away back in October 2014 because the Rogue Cut wasn't coming out until 9 months later.
DOFP was a pretty long movie already at 131 minutes and I recall several here said they had no interest in a 148 minute version and said that was overkill.
Yes, I remember Singer at the time said an extended version was coming later.
At least this time it's one and done for Apocalypse and this is a pretty long movie too at 144 minutes. And it's the longest theatrical cut of all the X-Men movies.

Not a perfect film but I liked it enough to eventually pick it up.

Pass on the Target Exclusive.
Don't really care for special books like that. It may be a nice trinket for some hardcore collectors, but in this case, all I really care about is the movie. If there was a special bonus disc, then I may have considered it.

Yeah, in that interview he actually said he wasn't a fan of extended cuts.
I had no idea that Superman Returns had an extended cut. Anyone see it? Was it better than the theatrical?

I don't think it ever got officially released, wasn't it at the premier and then cut for general release?

thats a good looking steelbook. Easy purchase. (Made easier by the fact that I'm just about the only person on earth who thought Apocalypse was the best X Men film.)

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse -- 10/4/16
There is no extended cut. However, the Superman Anthology blu-ray box set includes a lot of the deleted scenes, including the original opening where Supes goes to the remains of Krypton. None of those were on the original blu-ray release from 2006.

Re: X-Men: Apocalypse -- 10/4/16
As I recall, Singer withheld the Krypton opening from the initial DVD and Blu-ray releases because he held out hope that he could incorporate the scene (which was very expensive to create) into a sequel. When it became clear that there wouldn't be a sequel, he later allowed the scene to be released.

Prices in next week's Best Buy ad
X-Men: Apocalypse $19.99
X-Men: Apocalypse Steelbook $24.99
X-Men: Apocalypse UHD $27.99
No mention of the 3D version
. But I'm guessing it's not going to be any cheaper than the $25 it's currently listed for on the site. I have the 3D version ordered at Target for $26.99 + $5 gift card, so I guess that is going to be the cheapest route.
