Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

I'll only pick up steelbooks of the movies that I'll know I'll be pissed if I missed later on (Marvel, DC animated movies, Deadpool, Mad Max, Hateful Eight, etc.). If it's a movie that I don't mind waiting for a sale and I miss the steelbook release (10 Cloverfield Lane,13 Hours, etc), so be it. I have too big of a collection to drop $20 - $30 on every new steelbook release that I'm only half way interested in.

Oldboy, let me know when you are ready to part ways with that Dark Knight Returns steelbook so I can complete my collection

Instead of just the title, the Australian steelbook's spine has the faces of all the team members (Aside from Spidey and, I think, War Machine) It looks real cool to me.

If it's the same as the UK steelbook, it's just lacking the Spider and the Ant.

Full disclosure : It came back in stock on Saturday, so I ended up ordering The Huntsman Steelbook from Best Buy. I clearly need help.

Fuck me, I did the same thing!

My thought process was, "Well, I already have the steelbook for Snow White and the Huntsman, so I might as well complete the collection...."

According to the ad, the steelbook is going to be $27.99 next week. I guess that's the norm going forward.

Placed a preorder. I must own this—especially since it contains the 3D version as well.

When was the shipping option available? I would have rather, but only in store was available. Not a big deal, but BB is a little bit of a drive...

After getting a couple of dented Steelbooks in the mail, I'm always going for the in-store pick up now. They ship those Steelbooks between two thin sheets of cardboard and they can get crushed and dented all to Hell in postal transit.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

That's true. I have a completely broken Dawn of Apes Steel from their shipper. I said fuck it and didn't try to exchange. Luckily Winters War was very unscathed. But, I wouldn't want anything to happen to my Marvels however...

I've never received a dented steelbook. This one will probably get fucked up now.

Best Buy employees are saying that stores are getting a lot of these steelbooks - almost as much as Force Awakens.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

Good news indeed, but I'm not taking any chances. I'll be there when the store opens to pick mine up and carefully examine it before they are all gone.

That's the way it should be. The Force Awakens steelbook is still readily available but eventually they will all be sold out. It allows people who want it to be able to get it without having to drive all over town on release day morning while at the same time taking the douchebag eBay sellers out of the equation.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

Agreed. I like having more available. There is got to be a good lot quantity between the limited total Target orders for DC Animated releases and the far too large number for BB's TFA.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

These will still disappear, as all Marvel steelbooks do. Star Wars steelbooks have no value, as often as they release them. It'd be better if they keep a limit per person for the Cap ones.

Re: Captain America Civil War - 9/13/16

Received my steelbook today. No dents, it has a matte finish, some debossing. I like that I tend to get BB preorders a day early.
