It would not surprise me if they released a Blu-ray of the roadshow version in a nice collector's package. Just in time for Christmas.

Review is up. Only two features less than 15 minutes long. That sucks. So the Target bonus disc itself is longer than the special features.

Bill Hunt speculated the same. It sounds unlikely given how rare double dips are nowadays, but we can certainly hope.

He needs to really support 70mm. He needs to release this on home video on 70mm film only.

Any reliable reports on the actual content of the Target exclusive? (length, actual documentary like feature vs. footage filled EPK, etc.)

I partially agree with those that have pointed out that many "future plans" for QT's movie never actually happen. So there is a part of me that wants to go for this Target version of the exclusive content is worth while. The Target exclusive for Django certainly was.

Well I caved and ordered one. I'll know soon. If the exclusive is not all that, or if the better version is announced soon (like it was for The Martian recently) I'll just return it.

Guy at the bluray site says it was on a DVD. He and others got it early... supposedly.

I got the BB steelbook in the mail yesterday. It was a BD and DVD plus a empty space for a 3rd disc.

Sam Jackson's Guide to Glorious 70mm was interesting. It talked about the roadshow version and it's history but to not include it is lame. Obviously, a double dip in the future.

Well they had to include some sort of special features. And the steelbook thought ahead to include an extra disc spot for the double dip ;)

Same AR + music intro + intermission + about 6 minutes of extended scenes + some different takes.

Yep. Differences mentioned above. It was exclusive to the 70mm prints. There are lots of rumors it may come out for Christmas. Given that double-dipping is rare these days, I doubt it, but hope springs eternal.
