Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
For those who care more about the release date than the steel book - May 10th.
|
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Don't care about any steelbooks here, glad to know it's out in just another month
|
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Yep, I'll be picking up a 4k copy more than likely.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
That's awesome. I'd actually buy it if it were real. I normally don't care for Steelbooks but if the US gets the same design as the one shown above I'd be all over it. Has a great look.
|
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Yeah, I'd get that just for the artwork. Fuck it. I'm gonna download that; resize it and insert it in the blu ray case.
|
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Just wait for the 4K exclusive steelbook.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Not seeing the DTS banner on the top of the laserdisc. May have to reconsider that one.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Even the Amazon page has this as official box art:

No 3D Blu Ray release? Did the movie play in 3D theatrically?

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Yeah, not worth it for that price. If it drops to $19.99, I'll pick up a copy. But I'm guessing it'll be around $24.99 come release day.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
I do like Steelbooks and I had this in my cart to preorder, but once UHD was confirmed, I switched to that. If they suddenly announce a UHD Steelbook version, I'll be right back.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
I like the Steelbook art better. I'll probably spring for that version even though it'll likely be more expensive than the normal version.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Sometimes Target scores on their exclusives, sometimes they don't. Looks like they don't with Deadpool.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
I like that Target version better then just a Steelbook.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
The steelbook will be mine!

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Why couldn't somebody have created a faux-leather slipcover, simulating the mask. Shit, I'd pay $50.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Well it sounds like a good idea, but speaking as somebody who owns this:
Spoiler:
It really isn't the cool collectable you think it is, especially when you try to put it on the shelf next to the other discs. |
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
^ That was the first thing I thought of as well. Not so cool after all. Same goes for the turf cover for Major League.
|
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
^^^The KR Pan's Labyrinth faux leatherbound book didn't stand out like that.

I don't usually worry about the way stuff fits on my shelf. I try to find some way to display it if it looks unique. Am I overlooking it or are we not getting an extended version (ala unrated cut) of Deadpool? Wonder if I should wait as you know that has to be coming eventually. I thought it was even mentioned during all the publicity at one time. |
Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
For sure there won't be a Director's Cut since Miller himself has said the current version is his preferred Cut. Who knows what Fox will do though if they feel they need to boost sales, though I don't think they have much to worry about and since there wont't be a DC, my enthusiasm for an extended cut wanes. Just wait until the specs are announced to make your decision. If you ask me, I'll be picking it up regardless and that's not the way I usually operate but I love this movie!

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
Why would any sensible person ever buy a title as a Steelbook release? Deadpool needs to be bought on UHD anyhow.

Re: DEADPOOL: Steelbook
I wonder how extensive those deleted scenes are. I'll probably pick this up at some point. It's also surprising there no making of on this.
