It seems the only reason you want to own this is the title - "True Detective: Season 2". If it were simply named "Fucked-Up Detectives", you wouldn't think twice.

Yea, like I said - it's because of the title.

I feel sorry for Criterion fans with OCD. That's a helluva investment to satisfy the OCD cravings for spine numbers.

I wouldn't place myself in the category of needing to buy everything just because it's part of a numbered series, but for something where there's a bad sequel or bad season if I like the other sequels or other seasons and own them I'd rather not have that gap.

There was someone in the Taken 3 thread (I think that was it) who said that he hated the movie but would buy it for completion sake. I honestly don't remember who it was, and it may be someone in this thread, but WTF man.

I don't own a lot of things that I really dislike. Certain things that I maybe don't completely love but like enough to own and some on the basis of stronger films within the franchise or seasons within a series. I doubt that I'm the only one who has the same mentality about things like that and again it's something where if I ever decide I wanted it I'd wait until I could get it cheap and wouldn't buy it right away when it's released for full price.

Question, did you even watch season 2? I recall you popped in maybe 1 thread and said you weren't impressed. If you didn't finish it and still really want to see it, save your money and watch it on HBO Go.

I probably will at some point. I only watched the first few episodes and didn't love them but didn't hate them. I mostly was just unimpressed compared with season one. I'm not committed to buying this at all, I'm just hypothetically saying if I like season three when it airs that I might get this eventually.

Well, if you're looking at Alexandra Daddario and Lili Simmons, yeah .

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/true-det...v6C.OyelOmr2zQ

For those interested, season 2 is only $17.99 at Best Buy

Amazon is also selling it at the same price, but they appear to be out of stock.

I own the 1st season and even at this price, I have no interest. I will never ever watch it again. I will be better off using the $17.99 for something else.

If anyone buys it, I'll pay you $5 for the digital copy. So that's only $12.99 for you!

Upbidding isn't cool. But in this case, if you don't end up spending your money to buy a copy, then you win!
