Re: Jurassic World - 10/20/15

I'll be picking this one up for sure. I really enjoyed it. The LE gift set looks pretty cool, but not for $80.

Spoiler:

I might end up going the Wal Mart route for the lunchbox for my kids.
Spoiler:

Target with have some bonus content and Best Buy will have a T shirt.

Sweet. Didn't know about the lunchbox(I wonder if it's full size). I almost pre-ordered for the shirt. Glad I waited.

That lunchbox looks pretty cool but I have absolutely no use for it. I'll most likely go the Target route and get the exclusive content. Video content always beats out trinkets for me.

Wal Mart has a separate listing for 3D Blu Ray Collectable Round Tin, but the item shown has nothing of the sort pictured.

Ah, now they show it.

Looks very silly. Especially the round sleeves.

I've been holding on to my Total Recall tin for years even though I replaced the DVD with a standard case a long time ago. The Total Recall Tin is ridiculous and this Jurassic World tin looks the same. I'll just stick with a regular case. It's not going to match very well with the rest of the JP blus anyway since I've got the trilogy set over the individual releases.

If they wanted to do something different with this JW release they should have made a round gyrosphere shaped case.

Yeah, count me as another with the TR tin. It's junk. This is slightly cooler with the embossed logo, but still not worthy of shelf space. I'll take a regular case or steelbook please.

Re: Jurassic World - 10/20/15

Was surprised by how much I enjoyed this one - I thought the trailers looked awful. The LE looks really cool, but too pricey as usual. Another case of just getting the Steelbook me thinks!

what is the deal with this exclusive packaging on the 3D version? is it available on Amazon or is this just a BB exclusive for awhile?

Re: Jurassic World - 10/20/15

Anyone know if this will be released as a steelbook anywhere? It would go nicely with my Jurassic Park Collection steelbook. If not I think I'd go for the regular case. That tin is ugly.

Best Buy is fully embracing the tin collection and has exclusive versions of the other 3 movies as well.

Noticed this 3D four-movie combo set at Amazon. I assume this means the second and third films have also been converted?

No. If you look at the back cover, it says only Jurassic World and Jurassic Park are 3D.

Re: Jurassic World - 10/20/15

It looks like this is going to be $17.99 at Target next week. And I put in an order last week when they still had the $5 gift card promotion going. I can live with $12.99 for a new release

Re: Jurassic World - 10/20/15

I went with the free t-shirt from Best Buy with the 3D regular packaging version for $24.99. I also applied a $5 reward certificate that I wanted to use, so it was a decent deal.

At that price, I will probably pick it up Day 1! Thanks for posting!

Odd, my order shipped, but I was only charged $13.99. Something about a $6 promotion. And they are still sending the $5 gift card separately. So I guess the final cost will be $8.99? Did this happen with anyone else?

I cancelled the tin version and went with the standard packaging instead for my 3D version.

I picked up the Target exclusive, which is a 20 min extra on a separate DVD.
