Exactly. People bitching about an amount that some of them spend for coffee at Starbucks or eating lunch at McDonalds everyday just bewilders me.
Pay a little more and own the movie and watch it as much as you want. I have changed my tune on paying for my favorite movies if the presentation is great. Goodness knows my family of three pays enough money just to go see a matinée with popcorn and coke on a new movie and then maybe not even enjoy the movie. Or I can pay sometimes half that and get a movie I love.
To each his own I guess.
My only gripe is if I haven't seen the movie and would like to see it without blind buying it for a large amount. If it is a movie I really want to see, I will buy it and then ebay it if I didn;t care to keep it (i.e. recently "Sweet Sixteen") but that can be a pain in the butt doing that all the time.

Same here. I have stopped buying a lot of the 'hot new releases' and started collecting a lot of Kino, Olive and TT. They are releasing movies I really care about and I don't mind the price.
You see people posting about getting a stack of movies every Tuesday, but holy shit if one they want cost $10 more!

The thing I find strange about the Twilight Time moaning is the fact that you don't have to pay $30 for them at all. The annual sale, which now appears to be a semi-annual sale, sees most of their catalog reduced by that very ten bucks! Granted, the titles in a current sale, for example, may not be available in the next one, which does provide an extra impetus to buy them or lose out, and obviously the truly "hot" titles probably won't be in stock long enough to be included in a sale, but to date I've yet to pay the full $30 for anything other than the FRIGHT NIGHT reissue and THE BLOB (and of course ordered an extra copy of each for resales which recouped more than the the initial outlay).

Makes no sense however that 10 to Midnight got released via Twilight Time at a much more expensive price point over all these other titles. I wonder why Kino or Olive didn't get/passed on the rights to it.
There's really no rhyme or reason how some of these Bronson and Norris movies are being released on BD. Some on FOX, some on Kino/Olive and now Norris has a few coming from Shout.
I'd like to get Murphy's Law too. Very trashy 80's cop thriller.

Back when TT first started they licensed 300 titles from Fox, MGM/UA and Columbia. They dole them out at 5-6 per month. They've been sitting on 10 to Midnight for several years just getting around to it. Kino is picking up titles not previously licensed to TT way back when.
Then there are obvious titles not released yet. Why is Species and a Species 3/4 double feature available but not Species 2? Where's Fly II? Alien Nation?
I'm thinking there are part of the TT 300 they are sitting on and haven't gotten to yet. Bet Cat Ballou, One Million Years B.C. and Lost World(1960) are future TT titles also.

Species 2, 3, & 4 are getting Blu-ray releases, but the original Star Wars trilogy can't get remastered to coincide with the new film :brickwall:.

Although I could live without 4, I agree that this really should be one of those cross studio box sets if that is what it takes.
And the original classic deserves one the those great remasters they have done for other MGM films. It's one of their cult classics.

However, I watched some Ant & the Aardvark as well as Inspector cartoons probably about 2-3 years ago...somewhere, either on dvd or some channel and I laughed my ass off. Especially Ant & the Aardvark, and maybe since I'm older and appreciate really good voice acting when I hear it, but man is John Byner talented. When I was a kid, just thought it was Jackie Mason and then somebody doing a real good Dean Martin impression. Come to find out once in my late teen years that it was one guy doing the whole bloody thing. Floored. (was actually one of the catalysts for me to really get interested in voice acting....wish I could have done something with it)
And the Inspector, I'm a sucker for the Inspector Clouseau character from the old Pink Panther movies and found this to be so faithful. Pat Harrington Jr did a wonderful job voicing the two main characters. So it stuck with me...and when everybody was watching Looney Tunes, I was watching these and Droopy cartoons for the most part.
I would say spring for one of the sets...whichever you feel more comfortable with. I don't think you would be disappointed. My only concern currently is whether or not we will get subtitles. Most of the time, my son is sitting on my lap with me and he's in the babbling stage so I get a lot more mileage out of a disc with subs than without. Just saying
