I saw those the other day as well. That's why the image threw me for a loop, since that's not what I imagined they'd look like when opened up (which I now see after doing an image search). You can see some of the design spread over into the center spine, so maybe they've reworked the template/structure a bit.

October? That is an unusually long time from the theatrical release date, these days at least. 3, maybe 4 months seems to be average.

September is pretty crowded. Captain America 2, Godzilla, Neighbors, and a ton of catalog is coming out that month. I think October makes sense.

So no extended cut?

hanshotfirst1138 07-24-14 08:03 PM

I thought Donner confirmed the extended cut?

It will be released down the road at some point, maybe to promote Apocalypse.

hanshotfirst1138 07-24-14 09:19 PM

I'm sure there'll be deleted scenes either way.

One of, if not number 1, my favorite movies of the year.

Like Winter Soldier ALOT, but I like Future/Past a little better.

Yeah. Really liked how more team centric this was instead of overly being a Logan plus people who aren't as important as he is to the plot. We really need more team centric X movies.

No extended cut until next year.

Fucking figures. Depending on the extras on the first release, I still might double dip though, so I'm part of the problem. Probably just a cash grab, but maybe they're just finishing post on the new scenes.

Cool. I will Redbox it then wait a year to buy it.

Yeah, that's really unfortunate. I was looking forward to revisiting it in the Fall. I'm not double-dipping, though.

Yep, same here. I'll rent it since I missed it in theaters, but I don't mind waiting.

Same deal, redbox than purchase next year, nice to have the official confirmation. (the producer in her tweet could've been referring to deleted scenes, I never took that as any kind of official word) But I don't think Fox would've said anything if they weren't being asked because of that tweet though..

Lame  Might still by the theatrical release though.

hanshotfirst1138 08-05-14 10:18 PM

The Redbox "rental versions" frigging drive me nuts. I'm paying for it, why the hell can't I watch the special features? I know it's because they want to tempt me to buy the disc, but it'll be particularly irritating in this case. I suppose by next year, I'll be able to put a hold on it at the library.

I would not be surprised if the eventual extended cut was a 3 or 4 disc set with the existing bluray and 3d bluray discs of the theatrical version included in order to push up the disc count (and the price).
