Re: Crystal Lake Memories (New Friday the 13th Documentary)- 8/27/2013
I didn't order this from the site, so I missed out on the bonus disc. Is there a list of participants who show up here that aren't in the main feature?

First off, I forgot I even purchased this but was happy to see it in my inbox yesterday.,
For those with the bonus disc, can you share how it was packaged when it arrived. It appears I didn't get the bonus disk.
Was the slip cover for the 5 disc in the sealed bluray case or separate in the packing envelope?

Ok, got mine yesterday without any kind of email. Watched it. Enjoyed it a bunch, although I think Never Sleep Again is put together a bit better.
Watching the bonus disc now and holy shit, I think the Shelly bit entertained me more than the whole documentary.

Watched all of disc one tonight. Pretty good documentary so far and I like the fact that since this has such a long running time that we get in depth looks at all the films instead of just short little pieces. The Jason Lives part was probably the most entertaining part to me thus far and you can tell the director had a lot of fun making the film and it's probably why it's one of the better entries. I'll try to watch the rest of this tomorrow probably.

Ordered mine through Paypal via the CLM site at 7:35 AM PDT on Thursday, September 12.
I received a confirmation e-mail but yet to get a shipping e-mail or the package itself.
You'd think if they were swamped with orders and shipments were delayed, they would post as such on the site. Based on their last "announcement" on FB, I would think that everyone's went out on Monday, the latest. But it is now Saturday the mailbox has been empty every day this week... well except for bills and crap. Hopefully to day will be the day.
I'd like to say that I'm hopeful... but I'm mostly just sad.

I ordered mine on the 16th. Still nothing aside from the Paypal notice. I hate it when companies don't give you a heads up on anything else. Freaks me the fuck out. Still got nothing in my mailbox.

Not really. I enjoy the pop culture nonsense of it but have never really liked the films. I like Jason though.
Talking about Jason. Recently saw the remake. Jesus Christ was that way too long for it's own good. Oddly enough. I loved Jason, he was a badass. I liked the ideas of what they did for him. Some were too fleshed, with what little they did, that it did affect Jason in a negative. It was a very slick looking movie with a shit script from the 80s. I hated it. Loved the kills and Jason. That's it. This college girl I'm with at the moment loves horror films, good or bad. I had a very very hard time watching this remake. So much pointless shit.
I want this because..it's a documentary about the films. That's interesting to me from a filmmaking and film history aspect. That's the part that intrigues me. I'll never watch the films again though.

Snake, that makes no fucking sense. This is 11 hours of the cast & crew talking about the exact films you don't like. Even from a filmmaking point of view, that sounds like an awful slog if you don't like the source material.
You confounding motherfucker you.

I am slightly attracted to it for some reason. It's trashiness and absurdity, the idea that it is a franchise, etc etc.
I REALLY REALLY love hearing about shit that went down making a movie. And I'm pretty sure this shit has some interesting things to talk about.

They aren't even comparable. His Name Was Jason was a decent little fluff piece but more or less felt like it was just trying to cash in on the 2009 remake. Crystal Lake Memories is way more extensive and way better. Each film gets a pretty good chunk of time devoted to it.
