City of Angels Nicolas Cage Meg Ryan Blu-ray release?
Any plans to release the 1998 American remake on Blu-ray?


It is a a Warner Bros release and I assume it would have been released by now.

Wasn't aware it was a remake. All I recall about this is
Spoiler:
Dennis Franz as a fallen angel with a love of Ben & Jerry's, Meg Ryan describing what it's like to eat a pear, vanishing footsteps in the sand, the Alanis song, and a silly ending where Nicholas Cage's whiny character shits all over the lofty speeches he gave about life and death earlier in the movie.

It's a loose remake of Wim Wender's Wings Of Desire.

How hard is it to do a little research? It's not like anyone here works at Warner Home video or has insider information on catalogue releases. If it's not listed or on sale at Amazon.com, WBShop.com, then the answer is no.

I saw this again a few months ago. It wasn't bad. Would be interested in seeing it on BR.

As an aside, I guess it's better to ask if anyone else would like to see the movie on Blu instead of asking if anyone heard anything. Maybe that would ruffle a few less feathers?

The ones I don't like are when they mention a movie in the title of the thread without a question mark thereby implying an imminent release.

The remake has Meg Ryan as a doctor. Not sure of the original

Nobody complains about ___ being released on Blu-ray threads. People do complain about Is ___ being released on Blu-ray? threads. If there's not already a thread, the answer is "No".
