From that review it's the same transfer as the original BD with nothing really added except a DVD copy and some trading cards of the kids.

Bummer, I was hoping for some new material.

Fuck this. Just complete the trilogy on Blu and I'll be happy.

I didn't even realize there was a sequel to The Sandlot let alone two of them.

Re: The Sandlot 20th Anniversary Edition 3/26

Was there ever a commentary for this? I'd like to know the director's reasoning for not casting himself as the adult Smalls (since the director does the narration throughout the film). It's weird hearing a voice and then seeing a different actor portray the character that is supposed to be the narrator. I guess maybe he just didn't want to do it, or maybe he thought he didn't look the part?

It's not like A Christmas Story, where only the child version of the narrator is shown, so he would obviously sound different as an adult.

I couldn't resist buying this at Walmart for $8 with the coupons.com coupon. And I still have the first release. I love this movie.

It's the same exact disc.

You could return it without the slip cover if that's all you wanted.

I haven't gotten this movie on Blu yet so I might as well get this new version since it's only $10 and I happen to have a $10 reward certificate.

Yes I picked it up the other day for 9.99. I think Best Buy may show unavailable for pickup when the number on hand is low but not necessarily zero. I think I grabbed the last copy on the shelf.

None at my Best Buy... I was gonna do the upgrade & save and the $2 coupon.. When they checked stock, they had and had none on order... I was told my store was not gonna carry it...

Re: The Sandlot 20th Anniversary Edition 3/26

Just want to throw out there - I'm not going to keep my copy. Just watched it this weekend and I don't seem to enjoy the movie as much as I thought I did. I was going to post in the exchange forum but figured I'd post here first.
