Justified S1 Blu-Ray playback issues

Not sure exactly what the issue is - or why I'd be having problems here.

I have a Sherwood BDP-5004 - picked up for Region Free capability. Haven't upgraded firmware at all just to make sure I don't lose that capability, but every other disc - Region A, B, etc has worked fine (with the sole exception of the US Helldriver BR).

Basically I put in the first disc of Justified last week and watched the first episode with no issues - I even started/stopped the disc a few times while mucking about with the remote.

Now last night (and again tonight) I put in the same disc - even tried disc 2. The little display window reads "Playing" or "Play" (can't remember offhand - got something else playing right now) - but never progresses to the menu. I don't see the loading icon, and no controls work - not even stop. When I click "menu" - I get the "no" icon on the TV screen, but nothing else has any effect other than "eject."

Any tips/suggestions would be greatly appreciated - don't think it'd be a firmware issue if it ran alright the first time....
