The 3D image on the disc looked better to my eyes than the 3D presentation I saw in theaters.

The 3D image is stunning. Absolutely gorgeous. The 2D playback is noisier than the 3D in certain shots, and appears slightly softer. It's not so bad, but the 3D image is among the best 3D presentations I've seen on disc, whereas the 2D is good but not great.
Great to hear that Lionsgate provided yet another worthwhile presentation on Blu-ray! I will probably end up picking this title up sooner or later. I really enjoyed the film, as readers saw from my review. Great theatrical experience and I look forward to experiencing it on my home theater system.

Despite getting a review copy, I'd like to buy one to show the studios that there is demand for this material. Are there any special releases coming out, or is it just the standard packaging everywhere?

There's a metalpack being released in France, but that's all that I can find. Here's the link to Amazon.fr if you're interested. I'm not sure if it will be region free, though.

Meh. Maybe I'll buy a regular copy and give it to a friend who wouldn't otherwise have purchased it.

This seems like something that will drop in price quickly, so this will be a wait until its $10 type of movie to pick up. Didn't really love it that much.

I didn't realize saying that you didn't love a movie equates to a chip on your shoulder. I've seen you with far bigger ones then :lol:

It's a Lionsgate release. It'll be under $15 by March.

Upgrade and Save starts on the 13th...this comes out on the 8th so who knows if they bump the price up or not.

Really looking forward to seeing this. Not happy about having to give a 3D disc a unit sold but I don't feel like waiting for rental. Hopefully the 2D PQ is adequate.
