Problem/Solution with Ip Man on Panasonic BD players

[I can't search words as short as "Ip Man" so if this has been mentioned before I couldn't find it.]

I found that I couldn't get the BD of the movie Ip Man to work properly on my Panasonic BD-80. It freezes on the main menu splash. This problem has also been reported by Panasonic BD-60 owners. It is a known glitch that Panasonic has not fixed in a firmware update.

However, there is a work-around: When the screen freezes select "1" then "enter" ("ok" on my universal remote). Selecting "2" will give access to other features or one can just use the pop-up menu to navigate once the movie is playing.
