Blu-ray.com

Is anyone else have trouble accessing bluray.com today? It seems like it just disappeared...

I hope it comes back soon... I use them to manage my collection and I totally can't remember if I own a couple DVDs that are on sale right now...

Yeah, this is ridiculous. It's a slow day at work today and I need Blu-ray.com to help pass the time. Errrr!

Perhaps after last weeks fallout about an "Insider" not being a real "Insider" they revolted! That was some classic reading.

Yeah, but very little of it actually happened there (at least, for more than a minute or two).

If the site pops back up, could you provide a link please? I would love to read that.

Good luck with that- most of it's been scrubbed sparkling clean.

Yeah, I've been wondering why the hell it's been down all this time.

Holy hell, how did I miss that?

Damn. That's a shame. Could you at least summarize what happened? How was the so-called insider outed?

(Sony VP) Grover Crisp posted in the thread and indicated, among other things, that "the insider" had never had a relationship with Sony in any capacity, directly or indirectly. Later, Crisp's identity was authenticated by reliable sources at other locations.

Ouch? Was said "insider" Penton Man?

Somebody lied about their identity on the internet, in an effort to appear reputable?

I'm shocked.

What was this person claiming to know?

Likely the case. His thread was closed shortly after.

For someone who wasn't connected to Sony, he posted plenty of detailed information regarding the technical side of their restorations on certain titles, among other things. And did so over the course of several years. I'd like to know how he was verified as an Insider in the first place.

While people are waiting to re-join blu-ray.com, there's plenty of room over at the Ghost Town forums a.k.a. HDD.

I know. People like that jeopardize those of us with real inside information. I'm thankful for my position as official 20th Century Fox and Disney liaison. Oh, and as the White House Head Chef.

Which one, the thread or Blu-ray.com? I hope it's not the latter! -eek-
