Looks like a pretty cool case, but $50? Hmm...

Saw this on the plane back from a business trip a few weeks back and was surprised I liked it. Depending on price, may get this one.

So what's the point of a Saturday release date? All I can think of is that it keeps amazon from being able to offer release day delivery. Is there a reason they'd want to do that?

Summit's release of the Twilight films also released on Saturdays.

IMO, I think it's to take full advantage of Midnight Release parties and the amount of foot traffic/shoppers that goes through stores on Saturdays as opposed to Tuesdays.

What's the extra space in the box for? If it's for the rest of the movies, that might be worth considering.

Some years ago, when the first Twilight movie was just out, I happened to notice the FYE stores had an exclusive box for the first DVD, but it had space for the remaining movies. I've always wondered why we don't see more releases like that (outside of anime).

Looks like it, but that mean's they'd have to have solo releases of the next three(?) films in that funky square shape digibook/wallet for people that buy this. Is that likely? Or maybe this could come with empty wallets for the next two/three films and just not pictured.

There are 2 versions of the same item but different SKUs. Your best bet is to buy the cheaper ones $40 instead of $50.

Since they split up the last book into two movies, that kinda sucks for people that bought the box. (Unless that was the plan all along and the box accommodated for it.) But I'm sure your average Twilight fan would much rather have an extra movie than the ability to put all of the DVDs into one box.

I just started reading The Hunger Games last night. I'm only a chapter in, but so far so good.

I don't think there's any information on what this is, but it's currently $39.99. It might be another gift set release like Target has.

FYI, Target's 3-Disc Deluxe Edition is G2 size. Watch the video for comparison.

Sweet! Interviews with all the cast members that think they had bigger roles than they actually did.

Still not sure if that's supposed to hold the rest of the movies. The rest of the movies would have to be released in those smaller packages to fit in the box.

I watched the video and I'm not sure what you mean by "G2 size".

MockingJay will splits into 2 parts. So you have The Hunger Games, Catching Fire, MJ Part 1, and MJ Part 2.

G2 = Blu-ray size
G1 = DVD size.

Re: The Hunger Games - 8/18/12

the 4-Disc BB Blu-ray gift set includes a standard DVD copy version right? is that the only way to get a Blu-ray/DVD combo for THG?
