I went for the Briefcase set. I don't own any of the movies yet and with the credit I had sitting in my Amazon account, I'm only into it for $70 out of pocket.

As its been confirmed over on Blu-ray.com:

"The Phase One Archives” bonus disc included in the Marvel Cinematic Universe box set is the same, exact disc included in the Target exclusive Marvel's The Avengers 3D combo pack.

It's the same 99-minute documentary, which from reviews, has the same exact footage that is already present on the bonus material for each Marvel release up to this point.

... and my pre-order on Amazon remains.

The bonus material from disc two of both Iron Man and Iron Man 2 are not included in the ten-disc set, which was a given fact considering the original press release.

From what it looks like, the original two-disc set of Iron Man is now OOP. However, Amazon has the Iron Man 2 combo pack release at $14.99.

I'm not one to get too fussed on special features, but it's a bit annoying that despite all the efforts made to create a premium package, they couldn't have managed to include the IM special features.

I am still undecided on the suitcase. I don't have any of the movies but to be honest, I am not sure if I care to rewatch any of them. The suitcase is neat but a year from now, I will probably regret it and just have the regular case.

I think I just talked myself out of it.

Somehow I missed the mention of the lack of IM features. That actually really pisses me off. Now...cuz of that..I'm on the fence w/ this. I don't have any of the Marvel films except for TIH. I LOVED the features on IM. Those docs were solid. Now...I don't know. Fuck fuck fuck fuck....

It was never outright stated. Rather it was inferred by the amount of discs included. For a while it was assumed the extra disc on the briefcase set would consolidate the IM/IM2 special features discs but that has not happened.

I'm glad I stuck with my Amazon pre-order for the regular release.
