Clue bluray release in August

According to Bluray.com. A widescreen version bluray of Clue. This will be a great upgrade over the full screen ( If I remember correctly ) subpar standard disc.

Best movie based on a boardgame ever

I really like the movie. Hopefully the Blu-ray will warrant an upgrade since I already have the DVD.

Re: Clue bluray release in August

One of my favorite movies. I remember seeing this 3 times in the theaters to catch each ending. Definite must buy.

If anyone's interested, it's available for free Prime Streaming at Amazon:

Must have watched this movie at least a hundred times as a kid. I've watched it at least 3 times with my own kids. Provided they don't screw the disc up I'm down.

This was the very first movie that we rented for our VCR. Boy, was that something to be able to watch a movie of your choice in your own home.

Recently had purchased a cheap dvd of it, but always like watching it and will probably upgrade.

Well, then you'll be disappointed as it's just porting over the DVD features.

Here are the details:
The CLUE® Blu-ray is presented in 1080p high definition with English Mono DTS-HD Master Audio, French Mono Dolby Digital, Spanish Mono Dolby Digital and Portuguese Mono Dolby Digital and English, English SDH, French, Spanish and Portuguese subtitles. Bonus features are as follows:

· Three Alternate Endings
o Option #1—Show all three endings
o Option #2—Play a random ending
· Theatrical Trailer

Re: Clue bluray release in August

I like the options to watch the film in various ways - that made this a "sold" for me. But at the same time I really wish they would include the deleted footage (and maybe exerts from the screenplay on the unfilmed stuff) and a couple of interviews. But beggars can't be choosers I guess.

It makes me sad that Paramount is not creating any new extras for their Blu-Ray releases. Even just existing stuff (like deleted scenes and EPK materials) would be nice and a huge incentive to buy.

It's Paramount. It shouldn't be a surprise.

Count me in...but not for its current $21 pre-order price. I'm thinking 10 bucks tops.

Same here. Also, Amazon recently added a hi-def version of this movie for free streaming (assuming you're a Prime member)...that'll do for now until it comes down in price.

$21! I hadn't bothered to check but somehow had assumed it would be a $14.99 SRP sort of affair.
