Here's a page I've referred to, although it doesn't appear you missed too many for North America:

http://blu-raydigibooks.com/blu-ray-digibook-list/

EDIT: Hmmmm...on second thought, it appears you may have gotten that list from this very page. I think they are all there!

I used several different sources, but I think that one, the last I checked, ended up being almost complete.

There are tons of foreign digibooks, but no way am I going to collect those.

Just don't start collecting slipcovers, please!

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

I know you value the "collection" aspect of the hobby. Are you getting multiple copies? One to watch and one to keep sealed on the shelf? Any of these you don't care for the movie, just want to have them all?

Remember years ago when they would advertise cereal on TV based on some prize or free toy inside? At the end they'd say "collect all six". Trevor, I bet you ate a lot of cereal. ;)

Trevor, skip the outdated Easy Rider digibook and buy the incredible Criterion BBS box, which includes, in addition to Easy Rider, five films of varying superiority. Oh, and The Monkees' Head is in there too.

Doctor Zhivago
Rocky
The Usual Suspects

If you're counting pre-orders;

Ful Metal Jacket 25th Anniversary Edition

+1 for this. Amazon even has it on sale as we speak for 55% off.

EDIT: Blu-ray deal of the week, good through Saturday.

Might be too late. Although the only "collecting" I do of them is always choosing items with slipcovers if available and the cheapest, and then throwing all of the slipcovers into a box.

I rarely buy multiple versions on purpose. In these particular case, I did previously own a few titles that I've re-bought in digibook form for $10 or less; and I will sell or gift the non-digibook versions.

Yep, have that great boxset already. I'll only buy the Easy Rider digibook when I find it cheap. I know I shouldn't, but my OCD compels me.

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

Thanks NF. Yeah, I usually prefer to be all-inclusive, but just in case other niche genres start cranking them out like the few wrestling ones I've seen lately, I'd prefer to limit my collecting, and this list, to US films and shows of a more mainstream variety.

And to add some bargain-ness to this thread, The Big Lebowski is (was?) $7.99 with upgrade coupon at Best Buy.

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

I've become a big fan of digibooks over the standard blue-case format. When Amazon had a bunch for $9.99 a few weeks back, I bought almost everything they offered. The Universal 100th anniversary ones are REALLY nice - I keep hoping they'll offer one for JAWS.

I loved Digibooks when they first started...but now, it seems like every studio is just jumping on the bandwagon and sub-par films are getting the treatment. I've since stopped buying them (save for movies I really want). Just became to out of control to want to 'collect'.

Superdaddy 04-29-12 05:44 PM

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

I like them, but I don't collect them all. If I like the movie, I'll usually get the book over the regular case version. But I don't buy just to have another digibook.

Yeah, the "special" aspect of a digibook is watered down now. There's too many of them.

Exactly my approach.

Didn't know about that one....looks like I'll be double dipping again!

The forthcoming book version adds a documentary called "Stanley Kubrick's Boxes" which is supposed to be pretty interesting. I'm getting it too.

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

FYI, the Citizen Kane digibook went to general retail release in Feb, so it's not really a Best Buy Exclusive.

Trevor 05-27-12 01:47 PM

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

Is anyone else OCD enough to include the Walmart exclusive of Diary of a Wimpy Kid as a digibook?

It's just a fancy slipcover really, with a 6 or so page recreation of the kid's diary. But my curse is making me keep it with the digibooks.

Re: List of all US Blu-ray Digibooks

I really like these and think that they look great on the shelf. They stand out and look classier than standard packaging to me. That said I've never been so obsessed that I'd feel the need to purchase them just to have them all or anything.

I thought this was supposed to be a definitive list of available US digibook editions, not "my collection of digibooks"?
