I don't even know what UltraViolet is, and I don't intend to ask because I'm sure I can easily find a thread on my own. What's I'd rather ask: how many of you give a shit about UltraViolet, and is it more or less gratuitous than the esteemed Digital Copy?
I suspect that 2 of the discs will be the Blu-ray (Disc 1 - Movie/Commentary, Disc 2 - Features, Disc 3 - DVD) because Ultraviolet is done over the Internet the way I understand it (I've never used it).

I'd like to wait for a price drop, but I'm sure I'll wind up picking it up the first time I see it in the store. Have they announced if Fincher is doing the sequel?

The double-dip is a rarity in the Blu-ray era. On one hand you can't blame people for being cynical after a decade of endless reissues on DVD but at the same time it's impossible to deny that the bubble burst on that business model. Studios are having a hard enough time gettin people to buy stuff on Blu-ray the first time.

sooooo what I'm looking at it is the cover slip (on the right). Front side of the case itself (Lisbeth) and the backside (Mikael), correct? Hopefully it's not too snug...Sony sometimes does shit weird.

Hah, I came across this on my most recent visit to BN.com. I don't know how to feel about it, other than: if you want to be like Lisbeth, ironically or "fashionably", you can use these earbuds the next time you're curled up on a subway listening to your ipod. Depending on how meta one wants to get, you could use these earbuds to listen to the Dragon Tattoo soundtrack on your MP3 player. (Especially when you're visiting Stockholm & riding the subways.)

Very happy to see the Updated specs with 4 hours of extras and the commentary track from Fincher.

I actually learned about the updates specs at my local video store, who put out the BD early for rental today.

Day 1 purchase for me. Already pre-ordered it on Amazon.com
