Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
Amazon had had it listed for awhile at $54.99.
|
Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
I'm on it. Can't wait to power through this before S2.
|
Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
It's too bad they couldn't have gotten this ready in time for Christmas.
|
Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
wasn't there supposed to be a documentary crew following along with filming, in house crew from HBO?
that couldn't be the "30 min making of"? then again i was hoping for "hearts of darkness", so maybe my hopes were a little too high. typical ungrateful bastard that i am, i see 7 commentaries and complain that there aren't ten. |

Love this show, but at that price for season 1 only, I'll wait until it drops into the $30-40 range.

But HBO seasons have always been way expensive. |

But when it comes to television programs, they are generally released about a month before the new season starts. |
Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
I STILL need to watch all these episodes. They've been sitting on my DVR since the season finished.

I guess they are slipcovers, I didn't really see it at first.
|
Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
Just an FYI - at Best Buy (B&M) you get a GoT keychain (a miniature shield with the Stark sigil on it) if you pre-order the set with a $5 deposit. I don't care about the slipcovers, but I may bite for the free keychain, hoping that Best Buy uses similar pricing they used this week for Boardwalk Empire.

there is also a promo disc of the first episode of GOT you get for free with purchase of Boardwalk though they are marked at .01 and it is possible to purchase without buying Boardwalk if the PQ/AQ of the first episode is any indication of the entire set (given the already known greatness of the content) this is going to be one blu ray set to be reckoned with |

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
Could someone please explain the significance/meaning of the two Best Buy cover designs? I've never seen the show (don't have premium cable) or read the books, but am considering a blind buy.

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
I like the wolf cover art. I'll probably get this but hopefully the price drops more into the range of Boardwalk Empire before the series is released.

Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
The HBO store is offering a bonus "Creating The World Of Westeros" disc if you order it from them:
http://store.hbo.com/game-of-thrones...shows_game-of- They have 20% off codes fairly frequently if you dig around a bit online. |
Re: Game of Thrones: Season 1
I will wait for Complete Series box.
