Cute and naked, in 3D, for whatever it’s worth. It’s not a great movie, but it’s worth seeing at least once, and Paz de la Huerta — who’s been pretty hit-and-miss in her career and seems to split opinions in real life — is an ideal match for the lead character.

ok, you sold me. nothing like cute and naked in 3D. of course you can just have real sex which is 3D, but where is the fun in that ;)

Hustler’s 3D titles are shot very well, better than many mainstream movies.

And since it’s unlikely to be with Katrina Bowden . . . 😉

Fully, if briefly.

My comment was about the odds of having real-life 3D sex with her.

Paz is much more . . . adventurous, but then she is the lead.

Used the code, although not on a 3D title.

But in other 3D news, I see the listing for Captain Marvel 3D is live at Amazon UK. Pretty safe bet that the North America won't get this:

Does 3D via streaming, such as Vudu or Plex, have near or similar effect as the physical disc?

IDrinkMolson 03-29-19 10:49 AM

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

With anything digital it depends on your internet speed/bandwidth, buffering, etc.
I bought one of the Toy Story Toon shorts in 3D on Vudu to test. It was on sale and I had some credits. I thought it looked great.
So I bought Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. And it looked really good. The "blacks" get pixelated, but that happens with 2D digital too.
A disc looks cleaner, but I think the digital 3D is acceptable.

I have a couple of other 3D movies on Vudu that I haven't gotten to watch yet. Some were from codes that redeemed in 3D so I have the disc too.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald 3D got a good review. Too bad it didn't make the movie more watchable ;)

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Fanta...223135/#Review

We watched our 3D copy of the first movie before watching the second one and it's reference quality in my eyes.

Heads up that there's an Indiegogo campaign up to raise the funds for a 3D Blu-ray of a natively-shot 3D film called PROTOTYPE. The film was released in the US last summer courtesy of the New York-based indie distributor Grasshopper Film, and got pretty strong reviews from the likes of the A.V. Club, New York Times, and The Film Stage. Also, there are some fun perks/rewards in there that may be of interest to some of you.

Here's the campaign page: igg[dot]me/at/prototype-3d-blu/x/18811032 (sorry, I'm a new poster so can't post proper urls yet, but wanted to let you all know about this)

Aquaman 3D is down to $22.99 at Best Buy. It's still in store only (since it's sold out online), but I was able to get a whopping $7 and change price difference back :)

and you won/t be able to get it from overseas... at least not from AmazonUK, it appears. Check the description.

Even though listed as being dispatched and sold by Amazon, it doesn't ship to the U.S.

I had the Captain Marvel 3D on my AmazonUK Wishlist as soon as it appeared. It didn't list any shipping restriction at that time. About 2 weeks later I got a notice stating it was no longer available. WTH! A pre-order no longer available? Never had that happen before. It still listed the 3D version, although marked as not available. All the other versions, 4K, blu, and DVD were still listed as available for pre-order.

Then a few days ago, I got another notice stating it was available again. Went to check and noticed the shipping restriction.

FWIW, Avengers: Endgame 3D and Dumbo 3D are also listed as dispatched and sold by AmazonUK but not available for shipping to the U.S.

These are all pre-orders, but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I think Disney has made an arrangement with AmazonUK to not ship 3D titles to the U.S.

I know there are Amazon marketplace partners that don't ship to the U.S., but these are the first instances I've run into of Disney titles sold and shipped by AmazonUK that won't ship to the U.S. Would there be any other reason AmazonUK wouldn't ship media to the U.S.?

Hell, I bought the region B Ratatoulie 3D in Dec with the idea of buying a region free player soon. Now I have to rethink that. What's the point, if the overseas media of a (if not THE) major studio can't be be purchased?

What's the point of that studio even making it's media region free?

I figured something was going on when Ralph Breaks the Internet didn't get a 3D home video release... anywhere in the world as far as I know.

I'm considering Zaavi since they don't list a shipping restriction on their pre-orders for those titles. I've ordered a handful of titles from them in the past, but a couple of years ago they screwed up an order and sent the 2D version of a Resident Evil title... even though I ordered it off the page for the 3D version. They wouldn't do anything to make it right, so that was the last order I placed with them. I don't trust them to fulfill an order properly.

I used to be one of the biggest Disney fans you could find, but these days I'm really beginning to hate the company... or at least how it treats it's U.S. home video customers.

At this point, I'm seriously considering a personal boycott of seeing Disney/Pixar/Marvel movies in theaters. If a title seems interesting to me, I'll just wait for the home video release and blind buy it. Figure I'll save money long term (Disney's loss), even if some of them turn out not to be worth owning. Because, for any movie in my collection, I've paid to see the theatrical version once or twice at least, and then bought the home video version. Figure it will easily reduce a good portion of entertainment expenses by at least 50%.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

Yep, for a company that seems to care so much about its 'image', they certainly irritate their customers a lot. I have all the upcoming 3D titles pre-ordered from Zavvi, never had a problem with them. I just got Ralph Breaks the Internet from Japan, the only place it came out. It's a bit pricey and comes with a (worthless- ha!) 4K (2D) disc, but I loved the first movie and had to have this any way I could.

Were you around in the laserdisc days when Disney routinely delayed releases by a few months to a year, or sometimes didn't put them out on the format at all? They gave the reason as laserdiscs not having Macrovision and so could be easily copied; VHS tapes had Macrovision of course so no problem for them there. Never mind the law-abiding people who just wanted to give them money for the best possible format to enjoy their material. Of course there were still ways of getting around Macrovision, and being able to copy DVDs and such is a far bigger 'problem' now.
