Previous Twilight Time 3D discs MAN IN THE DARK, HARLOCK and MISS SADIE THOMPSON are all still available at Screen Archives, and the latter two still available at Twilight Time's own site, so I'm hopeful that MAD MAGICIAN will at least stay plentiful until the first or second discount sale after its release. I suppose it's possible that it's horror trappings could make it a faster sell-out than the others, so it's probably wise to keep an eye on the "low quantity" alerts just in case.

Mad Magician may go quicker with the Three Stooges shorts added but you never know. I always buy any 3D release Twilight Time does right off just to support them to hopefully release more 3D.

It's probably a price mistake, so act fast of you want it. The preorder for The Secret Life of Pets 3D is currently $19.99 on Amazon.

I stumbled across a guy on eBay selling all 3 Toy Story movies on 3D. They came in individual cases and only included the 3D discs, which wasn't a big deal to me since I already had the 2D releases. I threw in a starting bid for 99 cents. I was fucking ecstatic when I saw that I won the auction, for only 99 cents. I did have to pay $12 in shipping since he was from Alaska, but all 3 of those movies for $13 was a steal. Just got the movies in the mail yesterday and everything looked great. Easily my best eBay purchase yet.

Iron Man 3 3D $19.99 on Amazon. Lowest that's ever been.

Anyone have Pan 3D? wondering how that presentation is, the 3D, etc...

worth it for the sale @ Amazon for $18.49?

I pondered it, but I finally saw it on HBO and just didn't care for it. Saved me $18.49.

'Pan's only saving grace IS the 3D - if you look beyond the wonky story - the 3D (and sound mix) are jaw dropping.

Am I mistaken or was there no 3D release for Alice Through Looking Glass in the states? Why was that? I have the 1st, figured this would look spectacular even though it wasn't well received...

I read a review elsewhere that confirmed Disney didn't release a 3D version of this BD in North America. Add it to the list.

We just watched that with the kids last weekend. Easily one of the worst movies I've seen in recent memory.

Disney's strategy for North America these days seems to be to release the 2D first followed by a 3D Collector's Edition double-dip down the line (e.g. The Jungle Book, The Force Awakens). However, given that Looking Glass was a big box office bomb, the likelihood of that happening seems pretty remote.

You can get the 3D version overseas, though:

Saw Star Wars: The Force Awakens (3D)...still a rousing adventure after the third time. It really is a rehash of ANH, huh? Saw it more and more. Now, the 3D on this was good, but not great. At least not reference quality like others have said. Great depth and some nice effects, but honestly I think I've seen better. Maybe just my meager setup.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

You have seen better. What you described is the exact same thoughts I had after seeing it in IMAX. It looked good, some nice pop out effects, but overall it wasn't anything spectacular. I got the 3D for the extras, but I'll re-watch the 3D this weekend.

Yeah, that's too bad. Will see 2D on subsequent viewings. Colors really popped in 2D...

Has Disney ever explained why they haven't released Frozen on BD 3D in North America? Seems like another opportunity for them to double dip, but so far they haven't. Maybe they figure most Americans interested in 3D gave up waiting and bought it overseas.

Re: The Official "3D" Blu ray Thread. Now with Smell-O-Vision.

They might release it right before Frozen 2 comes out. That would be a good boost in sales instead of releasing it now.

I highly recommend picking up Man In The Dark during the Twilight Time sale if you like vintage 3D. The 3D is really good in it and I also enjoyed the gangster storyline. It is currently $14.95.

Watched this last night. The 3D was disappointing. There was added depth in a few scenes, but there wasn't much (if anything) that popped off the screen. No surprise as that seems to be the case with most 3D movies these days. God forbid we get ships and laser bolts flying off the screen in a 3D Star Wars film. There was lots of crosstalk, however. Another cheap conversion no doubt.
