Planet Earth: Special Edition Blu-ray (Will this be the best??)

I have held off on buying Planet Earth on Blu ray because I can not seem to figure out the best version to buy. I have been searching on this forum and others but there is never really any consensus on which version has the best picture quality, most features and so on... I figured some day a definitive version would be released and I just saw this on Amazon...

http://www.amazon.com/Planet-Earth-N...=25GWXS89NKRGR

Looks like it is supposed to be released on October 4th so hopefully I will be able to read some good reviews soon... My Blu ray player is a PS3 so I have to make sure that this will play on it before I buy this but it looks like it will have all the special features that were missing from previous Blu ray releases that were only found on the DVD version...

Anybody have any more info?

The answer has always been to get the BBC version and never the Discovery version.

Well yes... I totally agree... but my question is about this new special edition coming out which I have linked to above. From what I have read the UK special edition was pretty good (Still missing some of the behind the scenes features) but since my player is the PS3 I am not able to play that version.

Looks like this one has all of the missing features and will be bale to be played on the PS3... anybody confirm or deny this? Will this be the best version yet?

The BBC version is available in the US. There is a lengthy existing thread about this if you search for it.

Yep, I read through that thread and understand that the BBC version is the best version out right now I think... but I am just wondering about the new special edition which I linked to above... has anybody gotten their hands on it yet? Know anything more about it? It looks like it could be even better than the current BBC version...

Well, it doesn't come out for a month, so no one has probably gotten their hands on it. And you should really try to post in the existing thread for a title, if there is one. I pointed that out in the identical thread you started in the DVD forum.
