Underworld Trilogy re-release coming (with new bonus content)
From Bleeding Cool:
Yay! Another re-release of a Blu-ray set with new bonus content!
It’s just been discussed in Hall H, but details were so-far a little wishy washy. What we do know is that some original anime shorts set at various points throughout Underworld mythology are being animated and will be included on an upcoming series compilation Blu-Ray. I assume this box will street around the release of Underworld Awakening in cinemas, though it may actually come later and include Awakening.
Len Wiseman has just described the anime shorts as being “an evolution of these characters in timelines we haven’t seen.”

Hopefully they'll release it with the extended cut of Underworld Evolution that Wisemen mentioned in the audio commentary.

They'll have to load it with all sorts of goodies to convince me into buying it. I've got the 2007 "Unrated Underworld" and it flat out rocks the house even with DD and the impressive PCM uncompressed audio. And in terms of video it's reference quality especially in contrast and black level. I don't know of any other disc that comes close.
I've got the Rise of the Lycans and while it has TrueHD I don't think it has the same audio punch as Underworld Unrated nor the high contrast and black levels. it'll be interesting how they do package this.

i like the Underworld series. But I think i'll pass on the bluray for the time being. I have the standard versions. I'm not going to re-purchase everything that I own to Bluray except for a few handful's of what I think are my personal 10+ Rated movies. This, i'll just keep the standard's that I have.

I'm with the above poster. I own the first 2 films in the series on their original DVD releases, which while played on my PS3 looks amazing. The films are good, but I don't think they are worth the double-dip... also, I pretend the third film doesn't exist...

I'll get it.
As long as they credit me $10 for each of the three movies I already bought.
Oh hell no, they say?
Then I'm fucking passing on this. Shoulda done their little anime thingy whatever with bonus farts and burps from characters before I bought the movies.

Going to pass on this. I'm happy with the BD releases for the films I have already.

I don't own any of these on BD yet, and I enjoyed them enough to buy this for the right price. The anime shorts sound interesting.

I'm passing too. I have all three already. Oh and I love Rise of the Lycans. I thought it was a refreshing change in the series and more Victor is always welcome. I also like how it ties in perfectly with the first.
