Anchor Bay doesn't surprise me. They are the KING of Double-Dippity. In a few years, we'll see just as many versions as Evil Dead II.

Yep. The logo is bugging the shit out of me too. They need to either drop the AMC logo or work it in better by center justifying "the complete first season" under the whole thing.

Of course I bought Season 1 only 3 weeks ago and already opened it - what a fucking sucker I am. I'd like to have had these extras, but there is no way in hell I am 'upgrading'. It's shady enough when you double dip on a movie every 3 years, but this is not a trend I'd like to see continue.

That's the whole reason why I haven't bought Evil Dead II on Blu yet! Anchor Bay really is the worst offender with their biggest titles.

I've had the BD for this in my hands many times and always put it back for some reason, even though I love the show. Very glad I held off now.

I don't get this. Does this version feature extended episodes or extra deleted scenes?
Is it just a bunch of new featurettes added? If it is then I'll just buy the old version which will plummet in price once this new version is released.

I already read that. Yes I see the new featurettes but the point I was trying to make was what the hell does "Extra Footage" mean? Is it extended episodes or deleted scenes or just more special features? Sorry I wasn't more clear before.
I can live without the new featurettes but if there were extended episodes I might have to bite.

Did anyone pick this up? I bit the bullet and picked it up from Amazon for $34.99. I have Prime and got it shipped overnight for $4. I already have the previous BD, but I really wanted the commentaries and the extra material.

Very nice packaging. There is an insert advertising the Walking Dead companion book/toys and trading cards. They also include 1 Walking Dead trading card inside.

I think I may re-watch the Pilot and Finale with commentary before Sunday night.

I bought this over the weekend. Got it for $29.99 at Best Buy.
