Diary of a Wimpy Kid - Rodrick Rules - Freezing Problems?
Is anyone else having freezing problems with this blu-ray? The video on my copy keeps freezing for 2 or 3 seconds (audio keep going) before finally catching up.
I'm playing on a PS3, and tried other movies that are playing fine. Just wondering if I should exchange or just return if it's a widespread problem.

Watched it has a family on slim PS3 with no issues.
Boys watched it again in their rooms on an old BD30. While it took about 4-5 minutes to load into previews, there was no issues after that.

I have the same exact freezing problems on my PS3. I updated the software on the box to see if it made a difference and it did not. Wife says the picture is grainy too in the background. Other BDs play fine on the PS3.

Maybe it's your player. I have one blu-ray player that works fine with dvds, but when it comes to blu-rays (at least certain ones) they will pause for a second or two then continue just fine. I don't know if this is a layer change (do blu-rays even have layer changes), but I'm thinking it's just because it's a cheap player. It was only 80 bucks.

No problems on my Sony S350 (other than the ridiculous amount of time it takes the damn thing to start up!) Blu-Rays are supposed to have seamless layer changes- regular DVDs are actually capable of it too, but only Superbit discs and the first Universal DVDs had them (the Universal discs had complaints of player compatibility problems.)
