Kingdom of War Parts I and II.

I didn't even know these movies existed until a couple of weeks ago. I very much enjoyed Red Cliff and Mongol and am willing to take a chance on this at amazon's price for the two-pack ($17.99). I'm hoping for more in the vein of those two movies.

I miss old school epic moviemaking and it seems that Asian cinema is doing quite a bit of it these days, and sometimes doing it very well.

The best part is, if I like them, a third installment in the series was just released overseas, and a fourth is apparently planned/in the works.

Based on some very brief research, it looks like a Wal-Mart exclusive. As an aside, I enjoyed this movie as a kid but saw it a few years ago. I wish I had left it in my past. :(

Bought Makioka Sisters on SD for my mom. We saw it in the theaters years ago and every so often she asks if it's available. :banana:

Will probably rent Battle LA sometime when I'm not paying attention to my Netflix queue.

I can't speak for everyone but, except for a movie I must have, I don't buy movies on release day. I will now wait for the inevitable price drop or sale.

Yes, there are movies on that list I will get... just not on release day.
