Demolition Man Blu on 8/16/11!!
 

Digitalbits is reporting:
Warner Home Video has announced more catalog Blu-ray releases for 8/16 (SRP $19.98), including Assassins, Cobra, Demolition Man and The Specialist. All star Sylvester Stallone.


AWESOME news. Hopefully the transfer and audio are stellar and not sub-par.

Crime is a disease, Stallone on blu is the cure....gonna have crappy transfers more than likely. Still, I guess if they're decent, I'll be getting them, except The Specialist. I can't go back to that one again.

Yes. I can almost guarantee it'll be bare bones or port over whatever features there were (I could've sworn Assassins had a commentary or something). I'm wondering if these, or a couple, will become Best Buy exclusives like The Long Kiss Goodnight.

Most of Warner's catalog transfers have been solid, AFAIK. Usually you get the best print they have, presented without tweaks.

FINNALLY!!!!! This is AWESOME NEWS!!!
I have been waiting for Demolition Man to hit blu for a while now.
Its been on Netflix streaming in HD for a while now and the transfer is pretty good, so i cant wait to see how much better the BD looks

Honestly out of all of those...DM is the one I really want. The action is solid. Kinda wonky dialogue wise but it's alright cuz for some reason it works for the story.

Surprised these aren't double feature releases, has WB given them up? I'll probably get Demolition Man, it's really the only half decent one, though they are all watchable. Went and saw Sly filming Assassins (he waived), too bad the movie didn't turn out better...

No, my dad is not Antonio Banderas. He's too young for that. :p

Portions of this movie were shot in Puerto Rico. A production assistant was a friend of one of my dad's bandmates (he was in a group called Tepeu). Said PA convinced the producers to hire the band and my dad appears in the "festival of the dead" scene alongside Julianne Moore.

My dad did get to meet Banderas and told me he was a swell guy. He didn't like Stallone, though. Apparently he was very standoffish.

Demolition Man & Assassins are awesome films and definite buys for me. I'm a HUGE Stallone fan, but I'm just not that into Cobra or The Specialist.

Demolition Man - #1 on my most wanted Blu list so YEE HAA and an immediate day one buy for me. One of Sandra Bullock's best films.

Agreed - if these were double feature discs, I'd buy both of them in a heartbeat. As it stands though, I'm only in for Demolition Man.
