J-Horror on blu-ray
I am quite surprised by the lack of classic Japanese horror on blu-ray. I was expecting to see "The Ring" and "Dark Water" especially.
Anyone know why this should be or am I not looking in the right places.

Re: J-Horror on blu-ray
They might be out there in other regions, but I think the over-saturation (and sharp decline) of J-horror in R1 has kept them from getting releases. I am surprised "The Ring" hasn't been released, though, since it was one of the more popular titles. I'd love a double feature on BD with the original.

Both were actually quite spooky and good. I hope the other Ju-on movies are released, especially Ju-on (2002) my favorite.

The first 2 Japanese films with the original TV versions from 2000 as extras would make a perfect Blu-ray set. I liked the new movies too, even though I thought Old Lady in White was too violent for the Ju-on series.

Re: J-Horror on blu-ray
This is one of the reasons why I haven't bought Dark Water etc. on DVD. I saw them when they were released but don't own them. I keep thinking the blu-ray versions are bound to get released but I never see any signs.
Why do the Japanese not want to see these, themselves.
