I know some people don't like screenshots, but even the guy who got the BD says it's been DNRed to death. Think Patton - only worse.

Absolutely dreadful.
Paramount releases so little catalog these days...and things like this make you wonder why they bother at all.
Some of those caps almost look like they came from VHS tape, there is so little detail.

They did a good job on The African Queen (there last 'old' Blu-ray I can think of)...just weird how they decided to slather this one with wax.

Patton can rest easy now, scorn and contempt will be transferred to The Ten Commandments. Paramount obviously went the cheapest method possible and decided to eliminate any problems with an incredible level of DNR.

For these DeMille caps, I just stared in disbelief. It is indeed baffling why they could take such care to release a fine-looking disc like The African Queen, and later...this.

Well, Robert A Harris is now posting in that AVS thread, so Dave is going to do some different screenshots. Might be a videocard error with the screenshots, though he says while watching it it looks just as bad.

Looks like there was a problem with his hardware. So he is in the process of reposting new screenshots. This spread out big over the past few hours to multiple forums/websites etc.
This appears to (thankfully) be a big fuckup. I'll request this to be locked once his new shots go up and that way we can be sure. Sorry guys, thought this was news worthy if it was really as bad as the original screenshots looked.
Now to wait to re-place my pre-order..
