Rolling Thunder (1977) -- 1/30/12
Don't get too excited... it's coming from Optimum and may be region locked. I'm not sure how most of their titles are, but here's the pre-order page.

Holy shit
If the reviews are good, I will definitely be picking this up on Day 1. I have a Region Free BD player, so the possibility of Optimum locking their discs (as usual) to Region B isn't an issue.

Yeah, every Optimum disc I'm aware of is region-B, but I'm also in the region-free camp, so that's not gonna get in my way. Can't wait!

16 lbs is about 30 bucks, quite pricey not to mention about 5 bucks for shipping though I'm sure the VAT would off-set that. Not that I'm currently Region-free capable anyway.

Well the issue here can be rights-related; it wasn't an MGM proper film, I think it was from AIP? Although it did play in HD on MGMHD a while ago.

Total price as of now after VAT removal and including shipping would be £16.49, which is $26.76. The price might also drop a couple of pounds in the interim as well. I am wondering why the list price is £22.99 instead of £19.99, like the other Optimum Blu-rays.

I emailed Optimum asking about possible special features on this disc, and this was there response:
Not really the answer I was looking for...
This is all still to be confirmed. But at this point it is scheduled for June 6th, but there is still a chance it will be postponed to later on this summer.

That's the one I have. It was $89.99 on sale. The only annoying thing is that you have to change the region coding every time you put in a Region B disc. I've only watched a couple of discs, but so far no problems, and it's quiet, unlike my Philips region-free DVD player and apparently the Sherwood Blu-ray player. The newer Insignias apparently also aren't hackable, so I'd say proceed with caution, but other more knowledgeable folks might have more info on that.

I'm starting to get worried - three weeks from the theoretical release date, and still no news on extras, or even finalized cover art. Plus, the Amazon UK listing says "Temporarily out of stock", when it hasn't been released yet.
