Non-American Blu-Rays that are better than American ones

Blu-Rays:

I'm no expert but I thought it'd be a good idea to collect in one place info. about which imports, i.e. non-American, are better than American ones. If you know for sure, if you've done comparison tests, if you own multiple editions etc. post info on an edition that is better than the American one. Don't forget to say why it's better and say what Region it is. ok, post away!

I wouldn't say it's necessarily better overall, but the UK release (region-free) of The Seventh Seal includes a Bergman short that's presented in full HD, and that's not on the Criterion disc.

American Psycho (AUS) is a better transfer than the US version. SAW (GER) is uncut, better transfer and loaded with features than the US version.

Let Right One In (UK) has a commentary by the director, while the US one doesn't. Also...no fear of ever getting the wrong subtitles again w/ the UK one. The US still has some of those fuckups.

There's a pretty comprehensive list at HighDefDigest in the import forum.

The Saw Blu-ray, despite having no extras, is uncut despite the R-rating on the cover and disc.

I haven't been to this site in a while, but used to check it out for comparisons. Blu-rays and DVDs (compared separately):

I don't like the search function on their site...always too damn difficult to find what I am looking for.

Thank you, though.

Digital bits had a rant for about 5 days investigating why the US version of T2 Skynet was softer than the Japan version... Their conclusion was that it is in the program they use for authoring
